Does anyone know how to deal with this issue? My character was in our guild hall when the server became unresponsive (except for voice chat, which still worked). I could not log out or chat or interact with anything. I tabbed out and ended the EQ2 process from windows.

Now when trying to connect, I get "This account in use" error and it puts me at a different login dialog. I re-enter my username and password, and get "invalid username or password" and it exits the patcher completely.

So I cannot log in at all.

It has now been apx an hour and a half and I still cannot login. How long till the server disconnects inactive players? What can I do to get back in?

Thanks

The live chat support rep had me create a petition from the web site so that is what I have done.

Greetings,

The GMs should be able to assist you with this issue but it will probably take them a little while to respond. If this is happening then that probably means that your router or modem is maintaining a connection to our servers. You can usually correct that by powering down your computer/modem/router for about 5 minutes. You should be able to login once you reconnect them.

woot back in, not sure if it was the power down or a zone reset - in the general techsupport forum myguildmate had a the same issue posted and the rep said there were zone issues

Just woke up and checked in, can now log into game, so the issue is fixed.
