Hello, I am a returning player with a few friends. We are looking to put together a group that can decenetly take on a majoriy of content. So far my friends have chosen: Paladin, Mystic and Illusionist. I was hoping through some input from some helpful people what DPS / Support class would be most beneficial to the core group mentioned previously? Any input would be great appreciated. I am sorry if this type of question is asked often.

Well you could go full DPS with a ranger or assassin, but they bring less in concerning buffs etc. If you want that you should go dirge or troubadour they are great for that. Or in between take the brigand or swashbuckler for debuff of the mobs. And if you guys really want to be able to take seriously much content together lock your lvl every now and then make sure your AA keeps up, until lvl 70 this will make you guys gods among the quickly killed mobs

You could also choose a warlock or Wizard to utilize the Illu a bit better. Even a Coercer could be great. Actually any Scout / Mage will be a nice addition to this group, just with different focus: Predators: pure DPS Rogues: debuffs + DPS Bards: buffs + DPS Sorcs: DPS + some buffs Coercer: buffs + DPS From what they should be able to put out on DPS (with the lower usually being the better supporter: Sorcs Predators Rogues Coercer Bards A Scout would be nice to disarm traps (but mostly for loot chests) and he will get group evac (Wiz will also get one).

Hi.

I think a rogue could be a nice fourth member in your group. A swashbuckler since your group seems to be good aligned.

So you could have the tools of a scout type : tracking for easy questing and to check named NPCs, disarm, evac and dps, plus the group invis and the feign death of the rogue subclass. Rogues can tank a bit too.

And with one character of each archetype, loot attribution should be easy.

You have a decent start to a four person group. I would personally suggest a Swashbuckler or Ranger (as you seem to be "good" aligned). Swashie would be much more versatile, being able to handle damage dealing duties, have a group stealth, escape (to flee from a bad situation), as well as buffs/debuffs, and okay tanking abilities as well. Rangers don't start coming into their own until their late 20s/early 30s.

Welcome to Norrath.

Thanks for the input guys. I am leaning towards Dirge or possibly Swashbuckler. I am going to give both a shot solo and see which feels more appealing to me.

Again thanks for the input.

A paladin is going to get some use from the dirge buffs, but I would think that the mystic and the illy would get more from a troubador. Overall, if you are going to go bard, I would go troubador.

Well, none of you are going to be doing anything without a healer. Roll a healer
