bunch of of were getting this, we found if you go into your eq2 folder and launch from the everquest2.exe file instead of the eq2.exe file it let us in.

Some others have had success using the launchpad.exe in the launchpad folder also.

seems to be hit or miss

It looks like this issue just began occurring to many customers. We don't have any information on it yet but we're checking into it!

Sent an inquiry out on it and recieved a very detailed "We're on it!" response. No ETA yet, however.

Mine just started working again. Try to login and let me know if you're still having this issue.

I was receiving this error, too. I unplugged my modem and router, waited about 20 seconds, then plugged them back in so they could "reboot." Not sure if it's just coincidence, but I'm no longer getting the connection error.

i rebooted my computer; i'd left the game running on the character select screen overnight by accident & instead of clicking the "exit game button" i just hit the red x in the corner. i know sometimes it can be a little quirky when you do things like that. the reboot worked though & i was able to launch from the shortcut on the desktop.

All seems well enough now. Is there anyone that was having this issue to begin with that is still running into the same error?
