Cannot open crash log then crashes me to desktop

<p>what is this?</p><p>often most of the time it's either when I am zoning, or camping out to another toon (ie: /camp toonamehere)</p><p>so, during that zoning period I would get a window saying "Cannot open crash log" then it would just close</p><p>also, when I turn my /log on, sometimes randomly it turns itself off, any tips ?</p>

<p>It sounds like the game is trying to write to the crash log and is getting denied access.  That wouldn't cause the crash by itself, but the fact that it can't write the file might indicate a file protection issue.</p><p>Are you using Vista?  If you're using that OS and you have the game installed in the program files directory, then you might want to try moving it somewhere else.  Something like C:gamesEverquest 2 would work fine.  Programs in the program files directory have extra security placed on them and that could be causing a problem with the game.</p>
