please help me solve whats wrong

<p>ok so today when i decided to play the game it started off saying something was coruppted and needed to do a scan so i allowed the scan and then i finally could sign on... but when it updated before u can press the play button it took 6hours to update and  it wouldnt show any of the charecters in the left side where u choose the toon u wana start the game as.... when i hit play it sent me to the trying to log in server 1... all the ay to 10 and then kicked me after it repeated this is getting really frustrating and i really need to get on got a guild to run and raids to help set up for =/</p>

How it is done depends on what firewall you are running. Check your documentation on it</p>

Check your documentation on it</p></blockquote><p>That sounds like the correct diagnosis in this case. </p><p>If you are using the standard Windows firewall then the option should be in the control panel under 'Windows Firewall'.  Then select 'allow a program through the firewall'.  Find any entries that contains 'EQ2', 'Everquest 2', or 'Launchpad' and delete them.  Then try to start up the game again and select 'allow' when prompted.  If you are running vista then make sure you start the game by right clicking and selecting run as administrator for this step.</p>
