Is there any kind of a chart somewhere (I have been searching fruitlessly today) that lists for each class the name of their old spell(s) and the corresponding new name of each spell as a result of GU52?

I was out of game for over a month with a lot of adept III spells for sale (and rarely in game due to health the month and a half prior to this absence). I sold many of them in my absence. However, 18 of about 47 of them no longer show up in my tradeskill book under any version of their old names and I am unsure in most cases of what class and level the spells are, let alone which "newly named" spell to replace them with during crafting.

Anyone have any answers/help on this one?

The new names aren't there, but http://home.comcast.net/~eq2gamedata/main.html has everything for all classes listed under their old names. The new name should be one of the old ones.

I will have to give this a try. I will post back later if it provided a work around for this information. Thanks for pointing me in some kind of a direction. If anyone else knows of a chart listing old and new spell names let me know.

In all honesting, I find it hard to believe SoE developers didn't post this kind of a chart when they released GU52.

Take a few and read the thread where it was proposed. It becomes unbelievably easy to see what happened.

"Spell Renaming

All spells have been renamed to have a consistent naming structure across all levels. New spells will now be differentiated by roman numerals. So you will see Ice Comet, Ice Comet II, and so on in your spell book now. All combat text will refer to the base name though. In addition, the tier structure has changed to be more distinct. Apprentice I – III are now renamed just Apprentice, Apprentice IV is now Journeyman, Adept I is now Adept, Adept III is now Expert, Master I is simply Master and Master II is now Grandmaster."

I found this above item posted in the GU 51 update notes by Kiara. I am assuming this is what you were refering to (but my assumptions can often be wrong).

In theory, upon reading it, you wouldn't need a chart because every spell would be its old name plus roman numerals. Unfortunately, and obviously, not all base names are the same as their old T8 name. For me personally, I have 18 spells I sold on broker prior to GU 51 that I cannot find the replacement name for and hence am at a road block in regards to recrafting them. Granted, my lack of memory in these areas (tracking different class spells and what they do) is hurting me here as a casual player.

Anyway, thanks for replies. In the end, there are certainly more pressing things in life to worry about.
