Hi. I went LD while in game. Upon logging back in I discovered a 3.3gb download. I said "this cant be right"! So I closed it a couple times and reopened just to find the same thing again. So I mumbled and patched the account anyway. At the same time I was logged in on another account and in a group. Later the same happed again on THAT account. First link dead then patch (3.3gb). Same patch, 2 accounts, one computer??? Anyway, long story short I cant log in on either account now. My sub is paid 3 months in advance; so it's not an inactive account or anything. When I pull up the patcher the normal download scan starts. Once it reaches 100% it just goes off. No big red "PLAY" button or anything. The "download" option is available underneath the "PLAY" button but it just scans and puts me back to the same spot. Full file scan and everything else I can think of I have already done. Did something go into that patch? All of this is coming several days after attempting to download the new Station Launcher. I deleted it off my system since. So it's in my hopes that giving you all these "coincedences" that you might be able to assist me with getting back into the game. Thank you. Please help.

This sounds like Vista or an Antivirus interferring with the download/update process. If you're running Vista then make sure to follow these steps:

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

You will probably want to try disabling your antivirus as well, temporarily.

Finally, go to your Everquest 2 folder(Default: C:Program FilesSonyEverquest 2) and delete the 'cache' folder from that directory.
