Wanted to pop back in and say that I am still locked out of the game.

My character is stuck in game right now, and has been for a few days. If you are on AB server, You might have seen him. Any help would be appreciated. It seems as simple as a GM kicking him outa the server.

THe chat guys have basically asked me for computer information, which I have sent. I just dont have the time during my work week to get back on tech chat.

Please kick my character out of the server so I can try to play the game.

We don't really have those tools on the tech support team.

That said, usually if a character is 'stuck' in world to the point where it's actually visible, it means that your modem/router is maintaining a connection to our servers. If you haven't already, unplug both your modem and router and leave them unplugged for about 5 minutes. Then plug them back in and see if you can log in at that point.

I tried resetting my modem by unpligging for about 2 minutes. I did not wait 5 mins. I will try resetting the modem for about 5 minutes tonight. I do not have a router.

I cannot log in game to do a petition. I know the character is visible becaue a real friend calls me up and says "Yep, I still see your guy stuck in game."

I am reinstalling the game as I type this. The patch seems to be taking 12+ hours. I started the patching process around 2 am last night and its now 5 pm with still about 5 hours to go. Im sure thats not normal, but Ill take it.

You can submit a petition through the website if you are unable to do so from within the game. Here is the link:

http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bi...ser/std_alp.php

Open that page and then select the 'e-mail support' tab and sign in with your username and password.

I cant even patch. My 3rd attempt at a reinstall and after 20plus hours patching its still saying it needs 44+ hours left.

Is it possible that the patcher only affects the "native" drive. What I mean is, I have eq2 installed on E. Is the patcher only affecting drive C? If I were to reinstall eq2 on drive C, would that help the patching problem?

Whats wierd is that I had no problems when I first installedf eq on drive E 2 months ago.

The hard drive you have installed the game on should not cause any problems unless there's an actual hardware issue with that drive. Even that shouldn't cause the issue you're experiencing, though.

Generally a slow download will be the result of bad router or firewall settings. You might want to try bypassing your router and turning off your firewall temporarily for testing. That will help us determine whether one of those things is causing this problem.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I had my firewall turned off and no router. I cancelled my account. I will return once they get a steady patcher going and I can actually log into game.

If you try to come back at any point in the future and need assistance then don't hesitate to ask.
