All of those have to do with nature (thus being associated with Tunare and the transportation system the druids use). my guess on those would be air, growth, water, storms, and fire (volcano erupting). There was a post made a while ago that described the Chamber of Destiny. In it is said the shissar tried several things to keep the events from happening. Maybe since the shissar were trying to prevent the desctruction of Luclin (which would have ended their race even if the Greenmist hadn't) and were using these nature symbols on the calender as a type of ward or protection against the impending doom.

Just some thoughts on these symbols from this old seeker of lore.

Heard that at FanFaire - though they were unwilling to comment more specifically one way or another. They didn't want to state something as fact about something not pertinent to current events which would bind a future developer who might come up with a great story idea that would completely contradict it later.

If I remember right, they basically said the Shissar would be something they'd like to visit in the future, but don't have any plans for right now. They do some lore on the basis of when it would fit in with the master storyline... it might be cool, but if it doesn't work in they won't force it in. And yeah, they don't want to list out huge plans for the future and in so doing bind the game to follow that direction (and thus limit possible new, better, ideas).

Hey, the added time travel to the EQ2 list of things magic can do. If Miragul can travel back to the lost age...

That is a huge can of worms they opened and I personally hate that they did. But if they want to explain that the largest Shissar city performed a grand ritual to escape the greenmist by transporting itself, not just through space but also to AFTER the last major disaster on the callendar then it is at least plausable...

I hate time travel. Waiting for an HQ where we watch Veeshan smite the world or go back in time to become Mayong's parents...

You can thank Druzzil Ro for that... Because she's the Goddess of Magic, she has the ability to completely undermine everything the Elemental Gods went through to make sure that Zebuxoruk wasn't woken up by the mortals.

Poof. You were just sent back in time to the point where you never entered the Plane of Time because it's magic! The hell with the very Elemental gods that make the universe exist, I have magic! Whats more is that she was a lesser god, created from Solusek Ro... so why didn't Solusek just his his powers of magic to undo everything instead? Clearly he had enough power to do that if he decided to create another God just for that element...
