Gonna buy a new gaming PC soon from pcspecialist.co.uk, just wandering if these specs will run EQ2 on extreme quality (shadows + Anti-Aliasing, etc)? oO

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 (2.6ghz).

Ram: 8GB DDR2 800Mhz

Graphics Card: 1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 4870 PCI EXPRESS

HDD: 500GB - 7,200RPM

OS: Vista Home Premium 64-Bit.

Plz comment if you have any recommendations to graphics cards/CPU's which work well with EQ2 (are older cards more effective than newer ones / is duel core a better option? Or will that setup work ok?

Cheers - btw plz dont recommend any real expensive products like Intel Core i7 or whatever, on a £700 budget (about $1150).

Greetings,

That computer should be able to play the game on extreme quality, though you might need to scale back slightly for raids and the like. Dual/quad core CPU is definitely the way to go and the graphics card you picked should work fine. I think you'll be happy with the performance you get out of that machine.
