<p>So...we've killed quite a few of them now, including some more and some not so influential individuals. What I am wondering though is when we will run out of them? When will they finally off the dragons for good. Even the dragons knew that their end was coming in eqlive.<span ><p>You say, 'Hail, Klandicar' Klandicar says 'Oi, what is this? Seeing you here is the most exciting thing that has happened to me in aeons, and even that isn't enough to make me want to continue. Yes, it is the Necropolis for me, and the swift embrace of fire, and then my dust shall fly free as I once did.' You say, 'Why don't you fly free anymore?' Klandicar says 'Dragons have never been truly free. The Claws, the Ring, the One Who Sleeps, our very nature, all conspire to keep us enslaved. We can not grow beyond what we are now, so doomed we all are. Masters of this world we are not. Your very presence here screams this to any who have ears to hear. The Age of Scale is long past.' You say, 'why is it long past?' Klandicar says 'It proves how weak and static our race has become. Here you stand, in the most sacred of places, fearing nothing, daring to converse with me. If I were to consume you now, a dozen would appear to replace you. As mighty as Dragonkind is, we can never hope to match the power you wield. Dragons have limits set upon themselves, while you and your kind refuse to accept any limits. We can not compete with that. If only we could throw off these shackles we bind ourselves with.' You say, 'What not cast off the shackles?' Klandicar says 'I do not see this happening. Too proud, too sure of ourselves, as a race we could never concede that we have anything to learn from the likes of you. We need a revelation. Something to open our eye, a poke in the rump. The Iksar almost woke us up, they had us united and striving for something for a brief while, but the Iksar Empire was in many ways as doomed as we are, too inflexible. What does not bend will break. The same could be said of the Kromzek.' You say, 'What about the kromzek?' Klandicar says 'The Kromzek are also clinging to the old ways, they have changed no more than we have over the generations. We kill some,they kill some, nothing really changes. Now the Coldain, they are a group to admire, the first trickles of that flood I spoke of.' You say, 'What about the coldain?' Klandicar says 'I admire the Coldain They are strong because they adapt. They fought the Kromzek to a standstill, then pushed them back. They have not really crossed Dragons yet, but I feel that if they had a feud with us, they would present quite a challenge. And lo! There is a whole WORLD of peoples such as yourself, hardy and flexible as the Coldain, and here you stand at our doorstep, knocking.'</p><p>This was from eqlive, which supposedly is around 500 years before our current situation. Their time is at an end and their race in the decline. The ring of scale is dead, their leader Trakanon, one of the more powerful dragons has been slain (with no explanation in-game as to how he even got made leader let alone shrug off his decaying state).</p><p>They clearly are not the dominant force in Norrath, and havent been for some time. The world given to them by their creator was quickly populated by us 'interlopers' and our dieties, and their 'sacred' temples and sites pillaged. They simply arent really even threatening any longer.</p><p><span >Either the dragons eventually find their "revelation" and change, or they should die off as the lore has repeatedly hinted that they would. Once considered 'majestic' and powerful, the current state of their race is simply pitiful in the same way as a dog that is surviving but with only one of its legs left.</span></p></span> </p>

Not once since she terraformed Norrath and deposited her dragons. Never came back. Not once. She doesn't care one way or the other since she's out there flying in space.</p><p>Zebuxoruk has stated that the Dragons no longer play an importance with Norrath's wordly affairs. He said their time was over. If he prophecizes it, then so be it.</p>

<p>Well are we even slaying the dragons when we defeat them?  I mean, I remeber vividly killing Trakanon, Gorenair, Talendor, Nagafen, Vox and the list goes on, 500 years ago yet thier all still here (cept Vox I guess).  All metioned here were killed before the time split.  I know its a game mechanic but even in eq2 alone, how many times has Venekor been "killed"?  3?  So I wouldnt count the dragons out just yet. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" /></p>

<p>As far as lore goes, many of the dragons are truly dead. Venekor officially dies in Halls of Seeing in Kingdom of Sky</p>

<p>yes but their are clearly more dragons, i dont think they will be dying out soon...alll of them anyway. dont forget the baby dragon from the frostfell, wich is supposed to make an appaearance again down the road as an adult i think, or younge adult dragon. guess we will find out in the new expac or next frostfell.</p>

I've killed him a bunch of times in there and I dont remember seeing any "Death Text" regarding lore on it.</p><p>Gorenair however "Dies"... when you slay her, her ghostly essence spawns and she calls to the Awakened for his divine guidance as she enters the grey fields.. iirc.</p>

<p>The dragons that are indeed dead are not mentioned much by the game, other than by their trophies perhaps or other sources. As far as I know the list would most probably go....</p><p>Vox, Darathar, Wuoshi, Talendor, Gorenaire, Vyemm, Nexona, Hoshkar, Druushk, Silverwing, Phara Dar, Khalan Dar, Trakanon, Chel'drak, Esorpa, Xygoz, and Harla Dar.</p><p>Unknown/unclear</p><p>Barakah and Siyamak (There is a fair bit of lore regarding their condition, but nothing on wether they truly are killed or not in our quest to destroy the Djinn Master.)</p><p>Venekor (Not sure if it was retconned or not, but I remember there being a short blurb somewhere by Jindrack stating that he fled from the Halls of Seeing and would likely be seen again.)</p>
