Original EQ2 Launcher Issue

<p>My game is freezing when I launch the Launchpad - it just shows Preparing Files and does not move.  Turning on and off the firewall has made no difference.  I do not have the "patch.vpk" file on my system.  I can usually get in the backdoor via Everquest2.exe but the lack of ability to patch is clearly problematic.  Any ideas?</p><p>Kaene. 80 Guardian. Najena.</p><p>PS I have been using the Launcher successfully for years until about three/four days ago.</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>The most likely culprit would probably be a firewall or router.  Since you already disabled the firewall, you might want to try bypassing the router, assuming you're using one.  Simply plug your computer directly into the modem instead of through the router and let us know if the issue persists at that point.</p>
