<p>By now I have done 3 petitions about me not being able to reset the timer of Palace of the Ancient one. It only is the case in that zone! The first time I went in with my new guild I had to reset my former timer and jump into a already progressed zone. The next time I wanted to reset, when the whole guild was able to, I still had something like 2 or 3 days on the timer. So I petitioned. I got a response telling me that this is known and sent to Quality Assurance or something and that the GM thus cannot help me.</p><p>So I thought fine, I will just let the complete timer run out and see what happens. So when the timer was completely gone I joined my guild yet again into a already progressed zone of Palace of the Ancient One. And yet again I inherited a lockout timer that was actually LONGER than the time left on the zone! Yet again I petitioned, this time I got a response it was my own fault cause I got into the zone and inherited the wrong timer. For it to work I would have to sit out and wait for my guild to start a fresh Palace of the Ancient One zone... So yet again I did! And by the time they started a new Palace run I only had 13 hours Time Left and the rest of the people had about 3,5 days Time Left on the zone. Everyone resetted, including me and we did the zone. Today tho while everyone was able to reset I still had an odd 12 hours left till reset... I have petitioned once more but I doubt it will be fixed... I did everything the GM's shoved at me... Or am I still missing something here?</p><p>Petition 1:</p><p><td colspan="2" bgcolor="#e0e0e0"> </td><strong>Subject</strong> <td colspan="2"> </td>Lockout -- Reset timer <td colspan="2"> </td> <td colspan="2" bgcolor="#e0e0e0"> </td><strong> Discussion Thread</strong> <td bgcolor="#c6d3ba"> </td><strong> Response (GM Bllaaze)</strong><td align="right" bgcolor="#c6d3ba"> </td>06/15/2009 02:58 PM <td colspan="2"> </td>Greetings Same!My name is GM Bllaaze and I am responding to the ticket you have submitted about your instance timer for Palace of the Ancient One.We are aware of a potential issue with lockout timers being longer than the life of the instance when players enter an already in progress instance. We have submitted a report to Quality Assurance to conduct further testing on this matter and are not assisting customers with their timers until Quality Assurance has completed their investigation. I am sorry. To avoid this from happening in the future, please refrain from entering instances already in progress. Please never hesitate to contact us again with any other matter you may encounter in your adventures for which we may be of assistance.Thank you for playing Everquest 2.Safe Travels in and out of Norrath,GM BllaazeEverquest IISony Online Entertainment <td bgcolor="#a0c4de"> </td><strong> Customer (Same1 soe)</strong><td align="right" bgcolor="#a0c4de"> </td>06/15/2009 12:57 PM <td colspan="2"> </td>For some reason, which I can't figure out, I can't reset Palace of the Ancient one. After investigating your situation, it appears that the reason you still have a lockout timer is because when the timer that you inherited today was created, you were had a timer for Palace of the Ancient One. When you inherit a timer that was started when you were locked out, the amount that the two timers overlap is added to the end of the timer you inherit. This only occurs with lockout timers for the same zone, so a lot of people do not notice this occurrence. For example: say the timer you inevitably inherit was going for 4 hours when you were able to reset. and When you go in and initiate your timer; you will have 4 more hours on your timer than the other group members that have the same timer. I can see that you have incurred several different timers with this past week, and as this mechanic is functioning correctly, I will be unable to reset your timer. If you have any other problems or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us again!Sincerely,GM SanctescereEverquest 2Sony Online Entertainment <td bgcolor="#a0c4de"> </td><strong> Customer (Same1 soe)</strong><td align="right" bgcolor="#a0c4de"> </td>06/17/2009 03:45 PM <td colspan="2"> </td>Additional info:I forgot to mention that I let my former timer run out completely but with no result except that my timer is still wrong! I had to sit out and wait for mine to be able to reset, I did that today and when we went there again today my complete timer was scrambled again.. Everyone else has 20 hours on reset and I got the full reset timer again..I was told that there is something like an underlying timer that might have been scrambled when I came to my new guild. But somehow I cannot get my Palace of the Ancient One timer to run correctly with my guilds timer. Can this be fixed ingame?
