Crashing during combat

<p>I've seen a few topics about crashing after running the patcher, but I've yet to see any having to do with this problem.   It started on the 23rd as far as I know, I didn't log in on the 22nd for very long..</p><p>Usually after every 3rd or 4th instance of combat I get into, EQII freezes, the sound goes into a loop, and the game crashes with an EQII Application Error.  This has consistently been happening since yesterday, I'm up to 4 crashes in the past hour.</p><p>Has anyone else had this problem and can you offer me some insight?   I've tried the fix for the patcher problem, deleting the patch.vpk file.... well I attempted to try it, problem is that I don't have a patch.vpk file in the PAKS folder.</p><p>Any help is appreciated.</p>
