The error message is below. The launcher updates, but then a green bar fills up that I have never seen before. After that, the screen goes black and I get the error that it has to shut down. Any suggestions?

Error Signature:

AppName: everquest2.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: everquest2.exeModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 004ed7a8

Greetings,

You mention that the screen goes black and the program shuts down. Does this happen before or after you hit the play button?

For me:

The launcher loads up just fine and everything seems normal. I hit the play button, then the green bar fills up (I had only seen this once before, it was last week and I don't remember there being an issue) and the screen goes black like the game is going to start, but then it shuts down and I get the error message.

Thanks all! I can confirm, at least for me, this worked.

A small number of players are experiencing a crash when trying to log into EverQuest II.
