cant browse while eq2 is running

<p>ok this is one wierd problem. whenever i run eq2, i cant browse (firefox) to any website.</p><p>but if i quit eq2, browser working again... what gives lol ?</p><p>thx</p>

<p>I have heard this reported by a few people but I haven't been able to locate a specific cause so far.  Are you able to browse with internet explorer while the game is running?  What version of Firefox are you using?  Have you tried updating to the most recent version?</p>

<p>im using latest firefox 3.0.11. and yes cant browse with IE too.</p><p>been lookin for the cause for almsot a week now, googling, flus dns, reset tcp,dhcp, disablin firewall & anti virus, updating drivers...no luck so far. /boggle</p><p>oh yeah 1 more thing.... if i unplug & plug the router again.... i can browse again... but only like for 5 minutes. this is drivin me nuts lol.</p><p>later on today im gonna try restoring my backup.</p>

<p>yup, same problem here</p><p>FF and iE work after a bit, but take a <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><em>long</em></strong></span> time to start up</p><p>minimising EQ for a bit frees up more memory to get a browser started</p>

<p>yeah, when it does go thru, its very slow & cant seem to load all the web images.</p><p>anyway i restored my backup, should be clean since only few application in there. turn out problem didnt go away.</p><p>im leaning toward somthing in eq2 folder, coz eq2 folder is on D drive. i restored my C drive with a clean backup.</p><p>did a deep scan file also turned nothing all files seem good, not even 1 download.</p><p>ps</p><p>dunno if its related or not.... but my voice chat still broken.</p><p>persistent sympton:</p><p>clicking on option will freeze for few seconds,</p><p>changin the mike option also freeze for few seconds</p><p>& although i selected my logitech mike ( will freeze again) , it doesnt change to it, it stills saying default, hence why my voice chat not workin</p><p>any idea i can pursue ?</p>
