First time I try to log into the game on my laptop and I can not log straight into a charactor or the select screen. I can get past the update screen, click play, the green bar goes to full with out any problems. But when the window comes up like it is going to log in I then get the error "EQ2 Client Application has stopped working" and asked to look for solution online and close program or just close program. Below is what it says was the problem, any Ideas would be very much appreciated.

Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: EverQuest2.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.1 Application Timestamp: 4a40015e Fault Module Name: EverQuest2.exe Fault Module Version: 1.0.0.1 Fault Module Timestamp: 4a40015e Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 004ed7a8 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 8f4e Additional Information 2: 700feabdc9bdf2155f413b8220896a1e Additional Information 3: 0d11 Additional Information 4: 877ae564c75cf4ba19747fbb2829120f

I was in earlier, just logged out to switch machines, and now I can't get back in. Getting the same windows "Eq2 client" error....

UPDATE: I just got the EQ2 Client Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience... error on all three machines in my household. Anyone know what's going on?

There are already multiple threads going on this topic. Please delete your patch.vpk file. We are removing this from the patcher asap. In the meantime, you might have to run everquest2.exe directly so the file doesn't get repatched down.

Locking this thread to keep the discussion in one place.
