Upon hailing her with my Half Elf, she gives some speech about me being impure and to leave her prescense, which isn't surprising in the least. What is, however, is the second voice that speaks in Unison with her; a deep and menacing voice. At first I thought it might be that great big familiar thing by her, but it doesn't move its mouth.

Could she be possesed by Innoruk or some other creature? Discuss...

Rumor has it that she's on the road to attempting God Hood, and if you are a male Dark Elf she let's you know you'd make a wonderful eunich.

Also, all of Neriak's guilds seem to be working together, with the eception of the Dark bargainers who appear to rely on the Queen for their power, and what's more, they all seem to doubt the Queen. What's up with that? It's certainly a massive contrast to Qeynos and Freeport where the factions appear to be fighting/ squabbling amongst themselves for their leader's favour.

When the Shard of Hate opened up, the official lore that released with it basicly had Queen Christanos saying "Oh ****! I am screwed!"

What is the shard of hate and why is she screwed because of it?

The Shard of Hate is what remains of the Plane of Hate, Innoruuk's domain, after the Rending tore up Norrath and the Planes themselves. Innoruuk created the dark elves, and if he finds out that Christanos is claiming herself as the god of his race, he would strike her down.

Unless, of course, he is possesing her, but I doubt it.

that has bugged me a bit. chirstanos was obviously not pleased when the Shard opened, cause yeah, it put a hell of a damper on her claims of divinity...yet that scroll she's been wanting peices off is supposed to be a spell to open a direct line to Inny. like a dark elf 'ark of the covenant'.

Why would you want to open a direct line to a god your trying to usurp when you know you aren't strong enough to take him out?

Maybe it will do more than just open a direct line to him?

Maybe she is involved somehow in all the void mess and is the one trying to bring Theer into the realms in hopes of guiding him into the Shard of Hate in order to have him slay Inny?

Yes it's a HUGE stretch but we've seen worse lol....

Of course I am most likely 99.9999% wrong about that but....LOL

In all seriousness....

We do know she has "created" her own race of loyal followers in the Arasai by corrupting the fae spirit buds with the help of the followers of Innoruuk via the diety questline. We know she hates Innoruuk for what he has done to her and to her former husband and the light elves that he corrupted into Teir'Dal, even though she probably wouldn't admit to it.

One of the things I am learning about Innoruuk is that he really doesn't seem to care about victories over his foes in the sense that they are wiped out. He only thrives upon the conflcit and the hate that the conflcit generates. If one side in a conflict were to be eliminated the hatred that had been generated by that losing side would then be gone and his power would wane some. So following that train of thought I do think Inny knows what Cristianos is up to and that the other factions within Neriak are hating her for it likely is what Inny wants. You can guarantee he is playing both sides against each other throughout this whole thing...

~K~

It totally makes sense that Cristanos wants all of the scrolls in her posession. If you knew of a reliable way to contact your greatest threat to your existance wouldn't you want full control of it?

You also might not want to eliminate their existance because you can use it in several different ways. First, you might be able to corrupt the enchantment for your own purpose. Inny is widely known for doing this to various magics and races, why wouldn't Cristanos learn from his example?

Second, it makes for great bait for those that wish to prove their disloyalty to Cristanos. Not only does she know who is loyal in that they brought the scrolls to her in the first place, she can lay traps for anyone that would attempt to secure the scrolls.

Third, Cristanos has to be in a real quandry about the shard of hate itself. This isn't the plane of hate that Innoruk resides in. This is a fragment that has managed to be accessed from Norrath. Specifically the gateway that use to connect to the full plane and its immediate surroundings. While she might be afraid of it drawing Innoruk's attention immediately, she also has to see this as an opportunity. Once Innoruk's loyal forces there are sufficiently weakened, she might be able to gain control over this shard. If she currently has any actual power from being worshiped, having partial control over the shard of hate should enhance her powers greatly, at least until Innoruk tries to reclaim that fragment of his plane.

I would expect Cristanos to have a different plane as a goal actually. With what we've learned on the last Erollisi day I wouldn't be suprised if she is desperately seeking a way to open a portal to her realm. Being able to plunder Erollisi's plane while the goddess is indisposed...Cristanos would be able to increase her power without angering Innoruk or factions of her power base. Sure, she would possibly be opposed by Mithanial Marr but its probably worth risking quite a few pawns to find out. Though the pawns might seek to subistute adventurer's to save their own necks...
