<div>The topic of the Necro 4pc set bonus came up last night in the WW Summoner Channel and from that conversation it appears that the +45 spell damage to Lich 3 isnt being applied properly. So last night I did a quick test on the 4pc set bonus for the Necromancer Riftcaller set to see how the +45 Damage to Lich worked and here is what I came up with (was a little disappointed)</div><div> </div><div>My int with all my gear on: 1168</div><div> </div><div>Lich Damage with all 4 pcs: 495 (based on description)</div><div> </div><div>I took off my Riftaller Items:</div><div> </div><div><div>Boots (+48 Int and +2 Base Spell Damage)</div></div><div>Gloves (+48 Int)</div><div>Forearms (+52 Int and +2 Base Spell Damage)</div><div>Hood (+60 Base Spell Damage)</div><div> </div><div>Lich Damage without the 4 pcs and -208 Int: 469 (difference of 26 points of damage)</div><div> </div><div>So I added each piece back, one at a time and here is what I found:</div><div> </div><div>469 Lich + Boots (48 Int and 2 Base Spell Damage): Lich = 480</div><div>480 Lich + Gloves (48 Int): Lich = 483</div><div>483 Lich + Forearms (52 Int and 2 Base Spell Damage): Lich = 493</div><div>493 Lich + Hood (60 Int and +45 to Lich for Set Bonus): Lich = 495 (no set bonus?)</div><div> </div><div>Something in the math doesn't add up, perhaps this needs to be taken a look at. <p>Are you at the +spell damage cap for that spell? Have you tried removing other items with +spell damage to see if there is a difference? I honestly don't know how much damage that spell does as I don't have a necro, but I have items that increase the re-use time of Ice Comet that don't do anything anymore as I'm at the cap for that spell.</p>

<p>Its my understanding that +Spell Damage modifiers don't apply till you cast the spell, that they only stats that directly apply to the spell's damage in the description are INT and +Damage to that spell directly (like in the case of the 4pc bonus).</p><p>To that end I took a look at a parse I did last night, Lich Siphoning hit 45 times, of those 45, 43 were Critical hits. Of the non Critical Hits it did 815 & 819 Damage. Now, this is from a spell that (at the time of the fight) was reading 486 Damage. My Spell Mod was 545 for that fight (and due to a boneheaded move on my part I wasn't wearing my 4pc). Now I don't fully understand the dynamic of how +spell damage mod works, or what the cap on my spell would be when the +spell damage applies, but at 815 damage on a non crit, it doesn't appear that the +545 spell mod was even being applied (again tho I am not fully versed on how this mechanic works) so all I can say is maybe in this case I am at cap with the +spell damage mod.</p><p>Anyway, just another little bit of information, maybe its helpful, maybe its not. /shrugs Appreciate any feedback that can be given however.</p>

<p>Last time I did some testing... (a few months ago)</p><p>+spell damage did change the values listed when I examined my spells.</p><p>The cap appears to be 50% of the spells unmodified damage. So, if a spell does 1000 points the cap is +500 spell damage to bring it up to 1500. If the spell has a damage range of 500-1000 a +500 spell mod will make it 750-1500.</p><p>If the spell hits for the 480 range and you have more than +240 spell damage, The extra spell damage awarded by the armor set probably won't do anything.</p>
The VP legs focus for coercers of +125 to asylum damage was above and beyond any capping, as was the t7 bonus from Wuoshi legs. If the necro 4-set bonus is subject to capping then that's just a bug plain and simple. Since you're not assassins though, don't expect to get fixed anytime soon.

<p>That plus 45 is actually base damage and not the normalized damage so works on the base damage cap. Anyways, I found the problem with this. It won't be part of tomorrow's hotfix but it should be in the following one. </p>

<p>how about getting a fix in for the still broken summoner 5set bonuses to pet as discussed in <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=446981" target="_blank">THIS THREAD</a>.....+5 base is not getting added to pet....has been close to 1/4 of a year now.</p><p>Aeralik...am i to take it that Fyreflyte no longer works at SOE?....he hasnt posted at all since the 1st of may and seems strange that your doing fixes for item bugs.</p>

<p>I hope so soon although I'm still only 3/6 for my set peices. I heard it's almost been 6 months though....</p><p>On a different note. I had a question for Sciomar.</p><p>How much better is the Warlock than the necro? They have a nice myth weapon unlike ours. Heck even the conji myth has the AOE block/M4 pet and 10% Base Damage.</p><p>We get stuck with splurt, which is about as good as it sounds...</p>

As I am sure these items are going to have to carry me most of the way to 90 after the x-pac (unless they release some really hot quest items... but who knows)</span></span></p>

Warlock mythical is very nice and yea splurt is such a poorly implemented bonus that is definitely trumped by even conj mythical...must be nice having a dev play their class to make sure their mythical doesn't blow.</p>
