Mythical Shield if you had the option?

<p>IMO i would rather have the option to take a Shield as our Epic item. Also ,IMO the shields in game are sorta lame. An end game shield should have a chance to proc a stoneskin of sorts.</p>

<p>It would rarely get used though unless hate was changed.  I rarely use a shield and pretty much mt dual wielding to keep aggro.</p>

<p>There are loads of good end-game shields and there is no weapon close to our mythical.</p><p>Shields also degrade more than any other item when a level-cap increase happens (which is coming in November).</p>

<p>No way. I'd rather have a weapon. I DW 99% of the time, even on raids. You only need so much defensive for most encounters.</p>

<p>I think Guards should have a Myth shield.  It seems appropriate.  I think that fixing the hate issues would need to happen first though.  Guards need to be less worried about DPS and more about Hate generation thus negating the need to dual-wield. </p>
