cant log in after 18/06/09 patch

<p>total newb here so sorry if im posting in the wrong place.</p><p> since the new patch on 18th i cant get in game, i log all the way thru to patch which it does fine then when i hit the PLAY button in crashes with this message</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">EQ2 client application has stopped working</span></strong></p><p>i was having no problems at all before the patch.</p><p>hope you can help as i have tried all sorts with no joy and its most annoying having a game that i pay for and cant play!!</p><p>cheers</p>

<p>I also have the same problem on a notebook.  Everything was working well until the last patch.  The crash log indicates some problem loading "veshaders".  Says it cant find the files.  I have done a full file scan as well as removing ini files and folders indicated in your link.</p>

<p>I have a friend the is having issues logging in. It's giving her two errors. The first one says unable to open crash log and the second says unable to launch game. All this happened after she downloaded the new Station Launcher update. At first it was making her download the entire game again. Now it's just giving her these errors.</p><p>EDIT: oh and she does not have the file <span >patch.vpk either.</span></p>

<p>Generally, the 'unable to open crash log' error is usually caused by whichever issue is causing the crash as well. Without any sort of system information. I'd wager it to be either a firewall/network issue (possibly port forwarding needed or re-adding EQ2 as an exception) or an administrator issue. Do you know if her sysem is set to bypass the UAC and run the game as an administrator?</p>
