Hi

Whenever i try to get into a voice chat channel it says there's no one in it and then it kicks me out of it. I've tried restarting the game and turning off my zonealarm firewall. If anyone could help me it would be greatly apreciated.

With voice chat issues, it normally seems to be caused by router settings in which it may require port forwarding. Can you try bypassing your router and connecting your system straight to the modem in your household to see if there's a difference?

If not, can you please PM me with your router and modem model #s?

Had same issue for 2 days. Tried 100 things. Finally I updated my router firmware and the issue went away.

I am having the same issues. If I remove the router from the path, things work fine. Router is a Linksys BEFSX41 ver. 2 modem is a Motorola Surfboard SB5300 both with current firmware. Voice chat worked great prior to most recent update. When I go to Voice Chat in Game Options, the game indicates that the mic is detected and functioning properly. I have deleted the EQ2voice app and received a complete new download.

Same problem along with a couple of guildies... is there a general fix to this i.e. assigning a port to be forwarded? I don't know how to get into the voice app to see what ports it is using so I can forward em. Currently running a belkin router with firmware updates available.

I am having the same issues with voice chat. Using a DI-624, latest firmware version, no update available. I have tried adding the ports listed in the FAQs to my exceptions as well as setting up port forwarding, which has done nothing.

For the people who are still having this issue, have you tried simply bypassing the router? If not then I would suggest doing so for testing purposes. If you bypass the router and the problem resolves itself then we know the problem was with the router. Otherwise we can start looking elsewhere.

Well shortly after the firmware update the issue came back. Now I have to reset the router untill vc starts working. Was working flawlessly before the update. Netgear wgr614 v7

Ok, for testing purposes, I removed the router from the equation, and it is working now. Which is problematic, because I need my router for my network printer, and XBOX360, and laptop.

I had added the following ports to my routers firewall allow rule as per an email from support:

What ports does Voice Chat use?By default, Voice Chat uses ports 5062 and 3478.Why can’t I hear the voice prompt and/or myself while running the echo test? Try the following troubleshooting tips:• Try turning off your firewall. If that fixes the problem, then open the following ports on the firewall:• Incoming UDP ports 3478, 5060,5062• Outgoing TCP port 80 and 443• All destination UDP ports 12000-16000

This accomplished nothing.
