Hey guys! New player to EQ2 here...and consequently, new ranger. I hear much about the stats STR-INT-AGI for rangers. If I'm not mistaken, STR adds damage, and AGI adds more power, as well as % to hit, is that correct?

What does INT do?

Thanks in advance!

It DOES NOT affect to hit. This is a fallacy often miscommunicated amongst the ranger community.

Int - poison damage. After gu-52 I do not beleive it affects proc damage anymore.

If you solo alot STR/AGI/INT or STA

If you group STR/INT/AGI or STA

If you raid STR/INT/AGI or STA

I put STA in there because it gives you more hitpoints and allows you to live through those AoEs all named mobs cast now in TSO raids and instances.

Str adds damage to melee hits

Agi adds power and %FROM being hit (raises your physical avoidance)

Int adds to the poison damage but not sure if it matters anymore with the recent changes.

Wis adds to your resistance from spell damage

Overall I would say that an Int ranger would betray to a better class and be an assassin.

Rangers are sexier and much more fun to play

Just doesn't effect proc's from gear/etc.
