i realised something and now im paranoid to do the quests. there are alot of quests that require killing the rime members, and thus lower faction. yet we need the faction from the rime quest people to buy stuff.

do i have to save doing the rime quests for last after doing the quests for everyone else in order to get my faction high enogh?

The smart thing to do would be to wait with the Rime quests for last, since you start at -50k and cant get any lower.

I think the amount of faction you loose by killing Rime for the quests is pretty low though, so it can probably be gained again by doing 2 or 3 of the repeatable Rime quests. You will always be able to max faction with the repeatables.

I haven't worked through the new lines yet (boo, RL work!), but normally killing a mob gives -100 with its faction, and +25 with opposing faction(s)[if there's a +adjustment assigned] ... so killing a few Rime shouldn't be so bad.

But yeah, better to whack out all the anti-Rime quest lines to completion first, then start the Rime quests.

You're all correct! If you kill members of the Order while your faction is still at -50,000 that it will not lower you faction any more, considering that is as bad as your faction can get with them. Killing them at that point will not give you worse faction.

But if you do have to kill a couple after you have started doing some of their quests you may find it useful to know that killing them does not lower your faction by much (-25) as compared with their quests which award between 800 and 2600.

Anyone know how to check you Rime faction. I have checked both my Kunark and TSO faction lists.

Mine was listed under 'Unknown' on the dropdown list of Faction categories when I had the Rime disguise on.
