<p>I crafted one of each of the new books that I could afford.  But no matter what I did they wouldn't let me write in them.  Every time I opened them in READ, all I got was blank pages and a thin frame. </p><p>The pics on Traders Corner show a title frame that you can customize and edit and page function buttons at the bottom along with a % of completion bar.  I wasn't getting any of this.</p><p>Don't panic!  They aren't broken.  Not really.  I think they took about an hour after being created before these features kicked in.</p><p>FYI:  To COPY the book, I think you have to right click on the open book to get another set of options.  I saw it but haven't actually tried it.</p>

For creating and copying the book, you need to have it in your inventory. When you have a written book and a blank book in your inventory, you'll be able to right click the written book, selct "copy", get a little "blue" pointer (as in transmuting) that you can apply to the blank book to copy it.

<p>i ran into this too. i lined all my blank books up...then discovered i had to have them in inventory to actually write in them the first time.</p>

<p>I knew this was going to be misunderstood. This wasn't just me.  Everyone in my guild that I gave a book to had the same problem.  They even bought books from the broker to test all our theories.</p><p>Yes.  All that is good info.  We did all that.  We looked for all that.  But the problem was that we were not being presented with the full frame, including buttons.  There was a considerable time lag before things righted themselves.  I just wanted fellow sufferers to know that it would fix itself.</p>
