Now, I suspect I am the exception here, still running EQ2 on a Win2k machine, but ever since Rise of Kunark came out, EQ2 has given me error messages on shut-down whenever I shut the program down. With the release of the current patch, I'm getting an error when I start up to. I'll transcribe them below for reference.

On startup, in a window titled 'EverQuest2.exe - Entry Point Not Found'

'The procedure entry point getnameinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.dll.'

After clicking okay, the game starts up as normal and works just fine, except it doesn't seem to recognize my mic or speakers being plugged in for voice chat. I cannot enter nor speak into any channels, although the mic is still transferring a signal to the machine. I've not had issues with it before, but to be safe I checked to make sure my audio drivers were up-to-date, and they were.

Finally, ever since Rise of Kunark, I've been getting an error message when exiting the game. Originally it was an unhandled exception error, but now it's an Application Error:

'The instruction at "0x00af5a45" referenced memory at "0x1d377b74". The memory could not be "read".'

This issue doesn't seem to have any long-lasting issues, only requiring a confirmation to terminate the program when it was already terminating itself, but it's still not a clean application closing.

I had sent bug reports on the last issue before, but it's never been fully resolved. Thank you for your time, and I hope the information is helpful. If I can help with any more information, please let me know. In particular, the first message worries me the most.
