Is there any kind of timeline, in years, centuries, etc, available? I have my nose buried in the Realms of Norrath: Freeport PnP supplement and am finding the histories related within it fascinating. Some interesting points come up:

Aataltaal and the founding Freeport's precurser Landing and his relation to "Tarton's Wheel" aka "The Wheel of Time".

The opposition to to the founding of Landing by the dark elves, mainly Opal DarkBriar and the Divine Rage, later to become the Dismal Rage.

How old must these two particular individuals be if they are making an appearance in our era in EQ II?

Some kind of dated timeline would really help clarify alot of these points up. If anyone knows of one can they point me in the right direction please?

~K~

The Tarton's Wheel quest and Aataltaal are canon, but not the part you described. There's really no more info known on who he is.

As for Opal Darkbriar, She was at least 500 years old, to be sure, since she was in both EQlive and EQ2. But her betrayal of Freeport finally lead to her assassination in Rise of Kunark.

The one thing to note about the passage of time and events in Everquest's lore is that there is no specific dates given for almost everything. It allows the developers to throw things in between if needed in the timeline.

Interesting. Thank you, Cusa. I was not aware that Opal had been asassinated. I knew she was involved in the theft of Soulfire but had not heard much more of that storyline unfortunately. Are there any links that describe the full story leading up to and including her downfall? Thanks.

~K~

You might need to do a little bit of searching, but when the Shard of Hate opened up, there was some lore about Neriak that was released on the main page that states Opal's official death. She's the final mob of the Assassin epic. Otherwise, you should be able to find her involvement with some searching of the lore forum here back to the Sword of Destiny questline.
