My daughter was playing (4yoa..wife was supervising) and moved the game into the Taskbar somehow. Rather than try to fix it, I guess they turned the game off rather than shut it down. Now if I try to prompt the Launch Pad, the icon shows in the Taskbar, but I'm unable to open it up so I can pick from "Show Launcher Games Show Launcher Friends Exit Station Launcher". I've never seen this before on any programs.

Bloody

A re-install might reset the positioning of the launcher, but that is a bit wierd. When you have Station Launcher selected in the taskbar, can you try holding down CTRL+WINDOWS KEY and pressing the arrow keys while doing so to see if it wrangles the Launcher out of it's purgatory?

It sounds like you have the actual game executable on your taskbar instead of a shortcut to that program. Please go to the directory where you installed the game(Default: C:Program FilesSony). In there should be the EQ2.exe file. Right click that program then select 'Send To > Desktop'. Once you have done so, try running the new shortcut on your desktop. That should run the game correctly.

Regarding the icon in your taskbar, you should be able to simply right click and delete. Please let us know if that doesn't work.
