Login Server issues?

<p>Login servers are different.  They usually had the same or similar set of servers that authenticated logins for games as for the forums.</p>

<p>I could not log into game or forums. To get to forums need to go though eq2 players page. I saw that an Admin type was online and sent a pm. Hopefully they will tell the techies.</p>

<p>same here - got the full spectrum of complaints listed above</p><p>started over last few days with being tossed to character select on zoning, then moved to one particular character could not load at all, tossed back to select every time, then when camping to another character kicked out to desktop for invalid username, then that account locked due to invalid username or instant timeouts. Tried another account and that one gives the old server1,server 2 server 1 then invalid log in details......</p>

<p>I think then the update is still going because i was fine with zoning for the past week then today when they are doing the patch well i got booted <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and my comp is up high on the totem pole if you will. But i started zoning slow then i did /camp (charname) and i got booted with the Timed out box within not even a second.</p>

<p>Unless they went live with the patch earlier than thier post, the servers are not slated to go down until 10 a.m. eastern. That said login server issues have nothing to do with eq2 game patches.......</p>

<p>I can't log in if I use the patcher or Station Launcher.  I get a verification error (Error Code: error.authentication.retrieval.fail ) at Station.com. </p><p>If I bypass the patcher, I can get into the game.  Once in game, it seems I can zone around.  However, when I try to "/camp charactername", I'm booted to the character select.  I can choose a new character and re-enter the game.</p>

<p>I start entering the game as normal after toon selection.  I then get there are no available servers message.  I don't get the normal (after big update) LOGIN #1...LOGIN #2...LOGIN#3 as it tryies to find an available login server.  I can only guess that all login servers are unavailable to everyone but SOE trying to give self pat on back saying all servers (meaning game not login) server are up.</p>

<p>I posted in the connsection section but i figured i would post here to is seems were all haveing some sort of problem. hoever none seem to be my specific problem, When i run the patcher it scans but dosent downlod instead it says download canclled is it only me or are others having this issue?</p>

<p>You are not alone, I'm also getting the download cancellation. I just did a full file scan and it picked back up on the file it cancels on then did the cancellation again.</p><p>Edit: For whatever reason it now appears to be downloading</p>
