Keep getting "Trying login server <#>" over and over. Is this related to the maintainence? I've tried rebooting and what not and can connect to everything else. So it's either Sony or Router messing up again.

Thanks.

I'm getting the same thing, I thought it was because I was in the middle of doing something with station cash in game when the servers went down, but if you're getting it too I don't feel as paranoid.

Good to hear it's not only me. I seem to have terrible luck when it comes to my router and Sony so I was thinking maybe I was having more hardware problems. Thanks

and thank you for posting this, I just got my computer fixed yesterday and just got EQ2 running before the downtime so I wasn't sure if I might have messed something up or missed something important with my connection as well lol.

Yup same here. I'd like to know why they say all servers are up when there are no login servers to let you get to them.

Well, it looks like I'm not the only one as well.

I thought it was a router issue, since I was doing some work on it during the downtime...

Hope it gets fixed soon.

Grim

lol dunno but like a monkey I keep on trying. I havn't been able to play this game in almost a year and now that its right there its one of those "so close but so far away" moments. Can't wait to see the new changes, if my guild still has active members, or the same members at all. And after all that I have to spend hours crafting again. I really missed that.

well probally as they did one patch night they flipped the switch and it said all servers are up but they forgot something and 2 hours later they was able to reach the janitor and have him connect the proper cable.

Seems all login servers work fine unlike lasttime though where you couldn't log into account from website. Typical SoE and of course no updated status until someone actually figures out something isn't working right.

I don't mean to bit*h, but I just came back to EQ2 after leaving for about 2 years. THIS was one ofthe reasons I left.

SOE seems to be like a micro government ruling our virtual world and using the same cloak and dagger tactics. If there is a problem, then let us know. Don't keep the "All Servers Up" light on, when there is an issue.

I think I'll go clean the pool or something...

Grim

From 4:00 AM PDT until 6:00 AM PDT on Thursday, June 11, 2009, we will be conducting back-end maintenance that will affect the in-game chat and mail systems for SWG, EQ2, and possibly EQ. SWG and MXO worlds will be offline entirely for the 2-hour duration.

We apologize for this interruption and will resume all affected services as soon as the maintenance is completed.

At some point they decided they couldn't just do the chat/mail backend work with servers online so they posted to take them down. then when we can clearly reach the same login servers for the patcher and account maintenance we can't get the game login servers? SoE seems to not care that they are losing more and more players due to crap changes/poor costumer relations and lack of other such things that newer companies seem to be getting right at least to a degree of competence.

Been trying near 1 and half hours when network status page finally said all servers are up , and I know that it takes time for millions of players to drop the login server load trying to log in but least there should be something from Sony somewhere as to if there is an issue or the servers are just jammed with players trying to log in.

I did check EQ2 Players and when I saw the "All servers are up" message I tried to login. But to no avail. Trying servers message. Maybe something else needed repairing. Hope it's up soon or I'll have to do some house cleaning.

Update: Now I see on EQ2 Players that the servers are locked. So, they are still working on the issues apparently.

Whew. I check the forums when I get in and a big thread awaits!

The maintenance should be long completed, but is anyone still having trouble getting in the game?
