disclaimer: this is a newbie question. please don't flame me.

disclaimer 2: yes, i HAVE searched the boards to find out myself, but am even more confused now.

ok, this is my problem: I am quite new and i have a dark elven guardian of lvl 24 with 13 achievement points to spend. Right now i am a complete loner (which is sad!) but i know that i will be depending on groups later.

any recommendations for my achievement points?

any idea when i will start to be dependent on groups?

oh, and is there an option to direct experience input into achievement points (like with the aa-points in EQlive?)

thank you in advance.

my advise for your achivement points is to fo the STG line frist 8/6/8/0 and its 2 points for the last one it gives you extra Def when you are low on health. after that move to the INT line 4/6/4/8 then 2 points for the last one it increase reuse recovery and cast time on all CAs vary helpful. the six points in the second of the int line is not to make the attack stronger it is to make the temp buff accelerate last longer at 6 points the buff last longer that the recast of the CA so you can keep it going for those long fights. after you get thoes lines filled up do the slaughtering line in the gaurd tree 5 points in each and 1 in the last one this makes those attacks hit 24% harder and one turns you blue aoe into a single target attack that his vary hard. This setup should get you to 80 solo it worked for me and i was able to hit 80 in 3 or 4 months and im a slow lvler by most standerds. there is no way to funnel XP to AA untill you cap out but you should have 110 aa when you hit 80 if you solo and do lost of quests and kill most of the names in Kunark. Another good way to get AA is at lvl 60 go back and do all the easy HQs that you havent done yet. This is what i did and the aa spec is only for solo at 80 i would suggest getting an AA mirror to have a Group and Solo AA profile. Best of luck with you new gaurdian.

one more thing when you get to 70 your AA cap per class and sub class goes up form 50 to 70 take the extra point and put it in the STA line 8/4/8 to get Revesal it helps when solo and to get the double attack chance %. if you stack that with the bonuses on the 72 master crafted your double attack cance sould be at 34% or close to that and dont get the 77 mastercrated the midagation increace is not worth the loss of stats and CA damage bonus. you should not have to group at all to 80 with this set up i didnt.

I'd probably go Sta: 4,4,8 then get double attack in guard tree, then go back to the int line in warrior tree. My build for grouping is

Str: 4,4,5 Agi: 4,4,8 Sta: 4,4,8 Int: 4,8,8,2,2

Get double attack and block in guard tree, 3 in rescue, 5 in reinforcement.

There is no reason to solo to level 80 unless you picked a crappy server.
