<div><span > <p>I believe the changes below would fix the guardian class while not increasing their dps by to much. The ideas behind these changes was not to overpower the guardian but to return them to a place where they can compete with other tanks. At current we see SK's, Pallys, and Bezerkers tanking raid mobs which used to be primarily a guardians role. The guardians dps has been decreased by such drastic mesures that we are now forced to put on dps gear and duel weild simply to hold aggro while other tanks are finding it easier to tank and hold aggro than ever before.</p> <p>Guardians at the moment have virtually no AE aggro control and their single target aggro control is in large part broken as well as muted comparied to other tanks. The idea that Guardians have purposly tried to make themselves into dps machines and still can not hold, or even retake breifly, aggro from other tanks is rediculous especially on single target mobs.</p> <p>The following is something I put together after alot of thought and I believe these changes should be added and placed on test: (I appologize for the style of writing used, it reads as if it has already been implimented)</p> <p><strong>Guardian Revamp Starting with what is broken:</strong></p> <p>TSO AA abilities: Sneering Assault, Cry of the Warrior, and Sentinel strike, will have their resist rate lowered from 80% to un-resistible (or close to it). The Range on all three will be changed to 30 meters.</p> <p>Cry of the Warriors duration will be changed to 15 seconds and it will now work as intended. (It reads currently: “Prevents target from changing targets” this is a lie. Shadow knights for example can not only keep agro through us using this spell but take agro from us while this spell is up) The recast time will be changed to 1min 30 seconds.</p> <p>Sentinel strike will be changed to work as a true AE spell and its taunts will be increased. (The idea is to allow the guardian to have some AE agro control while not increasing the guardians AE damage by to much. At present the idea of a guardian tanking the books in the x2 for example is unrealistic and virtually impossible yet the other 3 plate tank classes can do it without problem)</p> <p>Slanderous assault will be changed from a 2 second cast time to .5 like most of the other guardian’s combat abilities.</p> <p>Buckler reversal will be changed from a 30 second refresh rate to a 5 second refresh rate.</p> <p>The combat ability Siege will no longer only affect 8 targets but rather be unlimited. The recast time of this spell will be reduced slightly.</p> <p>The goals of these changes are to help the guardian with agro while not drastically increasing their dps.</p> <p>We will also be looking into the guardians “hold the line” series of spells to make it proc even if a ward type spell is on you.</p> <p>The guardian Mythical is also in need of help. Because I believe this is a seperate issue I have chosen not to add it here.</p></span></div>
