I always disable combat so that my toons do not out-level their AA levels, I want my toons to have a LOT of AA for their adv level and this ruins that ability.

So now it's all or nothing? I can earn both or NONE?

I do NOT want to be forced to level up faster than I am already, I do NOT want to have to level up adv in order to gain AA, what kind of screwed up madeness is this anyway?

If someone doesn't want AA then make it so you can disable AA, but give me the ability to funnel ALAL exp I earn into AA for my toons when and how I choose.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this says nothing more than: "You'll no longer CONVERT COMBAT exp to AA exp". Since you only convert your combat exp to aa exp at endlvl, you don't have to worry about it when playing your alts or lower lvl chars. There also is an existing thread about the issue.

My understanding is that this should just affect the lvl 80 toons.

Once you hit 80, a portion of your combat XP is converted to aaxp. There was a change that upped the percentage that got converted so 80 toons could gain aaxp a little faster from combat. This prompted a few strange people to complain that if they disabled combat XP, they didnt want any xp to be converted to aaxp. So, that is what this patch message should be referring to.

Strange or not ( I can't get ENOUGH aa xp myself!!) It did seem odd that turning off combat XP didn't turn off AA conversion. In fact, when it was brought up, a few people assumed it DID, so I think it's more of a bug then anything that it's been doing so.

Lets say that when you kill a mob, you get 100 experiance points for it. Currently, at low levels, that gets awarded directly to your adventure level. At the level cap, it gets divided by an unknown number and awarded to your AA experiance instead.

Currently, when you disable adventure experiance, instead of that kill now awarding zero experiance (as would be expected), it gets divided by that same number that a level capped toon gets, and added on to your achievement experiance. As anyone at the level cap for adventure level but not achievements will tell you, this conversion is minimal.

All this change does is make it how we would all expect turning combat experiance off to work. When you kill a mob, you get no experiance for it.

This has no effect on quest, named mob, location or item discovery achievement experiance.
