What is going to happen to Guild Halls and Status invested/deposited in to Guild Halls when Venekor is merged with Nagafen. These are things we need more than a few days to plan for if they're not going to transfer over to Nagafen.

Be nice to get an official word either way... "Yah.. you're gonna have to start over cause we've never done a merge with Guild Halls before" or "No worries.. everything.. including your Harvest Depots will be in tact when the merge is complete".

Thanks.

Are there plans to redo the writ system? Between the multiple expansions, work arounds ,factions and writ standard changes I can only imagine the difficulties this has created when looking at writ givers, amenity or otherwise. Even in Kunark the difference between Freeport writs and Neriak/Gorowyn writs is glaring and annoying. Is that on the list of needlessly confusing/ complex "features" to fix?

To add on to the city writ theme, could the high level city writs (50+) be a list of choices like the low level ones, as opposed to random? Writs can't be shared easily because of this, as it gives a random writ to the sharee and not the same one that the sharer is on. The share-delete-repeat gets old after the first time around.

Repeating every month from the first:

Question: Are there any plans to put some consistency in who can get writs and the benefits they receive?

Explanation: Here's some of the inconsistencies -

Below T8, Qeynos and Freeport will give adventure writs to anyone, regardless of alignment. Kelethin will give writs to goods and exiles, but not evils. Neriak and Gorowyn will give writs to evils only.

Tradeskill writs are only ever for your home city, regardless of where you get it - some of us would like to buy the faction rewards from ally cities without having to switch citizenships to earn the faction (like we can with adventurer writs).

Exiles get faction with no one for TS writs, even though tradeskills are the ONLY writs offered in Haven itself.

Exiles also get no status for TS writs, although they do for adventure writs.

Exiles who raise their faction with a city to the point where they can buy/sell/bank there cannot do business with the adventure faction merchants in that city, except in Kelethin - faction merchants there are happy to deal with an exile who's city faction is appropriate.

Tradeskill faction merchants will happily sell to anyone with enough city faction to do business in the city, but it doesn't matter because you can't earn faction with any TS society but your home city's.

Exiles cannot get T8 writs from ANY city.

It'd be nice if all the cities dealt with writs and factions the same across all levels. At the very least, there is NO reason why an exile should not get status for crafting writs - it's not like status is city-specific., unlike faction.

Can you make it possible to re-arrange people in a group the same way you can in a raid, maybe by dragging and dropping?

It would be really great to be able to re-arrange the people in your group, or at least be able to re-assign the hotkeys. Probably 1/3 of the time, the tank creates the group, so you hit F2 to target through the tank and life is good. However, if someone aside from the tank creates the group, or the tanks re-joins the group because of a LD or something now life becomes more difficult. This is even more true for healers and CC that have to target multiple group members or leave the tank as a target and come back.

Ideally what would be nice is if you could just click on a name in the group window and drag that person to the right spot. So if Biff the tank gets invited 5th and Rip the ranger gets invited last, as the healer I can drag them to the second and third spots and know that I will be hitting F2 and F3 a lot to target these two people.

As an alternate option, if that's too much UI/coding work, you could just click a person, then press the hotkey you want assigned to them (along with a modifier like CTRL or right-click first and choose an option to re-assing hotkey).

The end result is that you can survive group re-orderings and keep the same hotkey setup. This is something that can help in raid situations as well and I think cut down on the number of hotkeys that are necessary.

Even if it's only possible for the group leader to rearrange the group - as it is with a raid - I think this would be acceptable because people generally want the same layout: tank, healer, utility, DPS.

Thanks!

Going to try this again:

In TSO beta the Templar had a casting spead bonus in their healing stance. Shortly before public release it was removed from this stance with no reason given for it. Now the Templar is the ONLY healing class w/o a third bonus in their healing stance. Given that the two benefits of the templar healing stance are on par with all the other classes, why do they not ALSO have a third benefit like ALL other healing classes in their stance?

Summoner Dps and utility are commonly believed to be sub par, are these assumed problems being reviewed and if so are there plans to change that (ie. is there reason to hope)?

When are dumbfire pets (e.g. Grave Disturbance, Pack of Imps, Undead Horde) going to be fixed? Currently they are neither dots using spell enhancements nor pets using pet buffs, and they get killed mostly in a second after being cast.

Is it intentional that you really need a 3rd party tool that sees only half the data? Currently some of the more challenging encounters are almost totally dependant on a 3rd party log file analyzer (advanced combat tracker). Additionally not all data is available in the logs for that parser (cures, debuffs, buffs), leading to strange perceptions of class balance in some cases.

As it stands right now, bards are the only scout class not to have a defensive/offensive stance. Bards have various songs they can play, but their effects are often based solely on how the player is speced. For instance, the group defensive buff can have group mitigation IF speced for it.

My Question: Would it be possible to have a defensive stance and offensive stance added to the bards abilities to make it easier to solo or better for grouping?

We are losing a lot with the upcoming proc changes in GU52.
Is there anyway that on the Dirge TSO end line ability, Disease Mastery, instead of having it affect spells, (wich it only effects 3) and does 15% dmg increase to affect ALL disease attacks but with a 2.5% - 5% increase.
Any chance since part 2 of the fighter changes will be a long time coming, that in the mean time you could scale taunt values for fighters. As a raiding guardian its getting harder and harder to keep aggro even with transfers and hate gain. Meanwhile the sk or paladin picks up aggro without the transfers or hate gain without a problem, Thanks.

Will TSO Raid mounts be getting an upgraded apperance? As it stands now, they are near identical to the melee stat shard mount, with the only discernable difference is a very slight color variation in the armor the warbear wears. Other expansion's dropped mounts all had unique apperances which make them even more desirable for players. I love my mount and would use it either way, but I think it looks boring and no one can tell its a fancier variety!

Can make and post a ruleset for the pulling of contested epic mobs on a PVP server?

You deleted my explanation from last set of questions. But there is no rule for the pulling and killing of contested mobs on a PVP server. The current rules dont and cant apply to PVP servers as there are no way to "talk" with the opposite faction and come to some agreement, and even if an agreement was made, it wouldnt be upheld, as it is the name of the game to kill the opposite alignment.

The impact of one (or better two) bard(s) on a group efficiency is so extreme that there is a growing number of people for whom any group must contain a bard and should if possible have two. Other examples than the bards frenesy exist : Brawlers and summoners are out, druids are marginaly out.

Avoiding the "holy trinity" pitfall and ensuring that any class has high desirability should be one of the main goal for an MMO team.

So ?
Would you consider moving some of the L&L books to more accessible areas, especially when compared to the majority of the books -- for some L&L by the time you get the book you really don't need the spell which you are currently getting when you complete a zone when you actually need it early in the zone. Or perhaps but in a quest like the one for Drachnid L&L when enables you to get it in a reasonable way despite its location - the following books come to mind - Fairy, Drolvarg, Lizard, Bugbear etc. as one whose access needs improvement.

With players having many toons... how about having an option of your toons sharing the same housing.

I have a real nice house setup in South Q but have shifted in playing more Freeport toons. This makes it hard to realy utilize the house I have setup(which took alot of time to get it the way I like it) and dont realy want to startup another in Freeport or other areas. For example, a recall for your toons to zone into the house you have it set to and giving each toon their own storage in it.

My experience has been that keeping one's tradeskill level at around one's adventuring level, which is generally necessary to benefit from one's profession while leveling, gets increasingly difficult at higher tradeskill levels (50+). In particular, the rate of advancement is strongly tied to the availability of non-renewable first pristine bonuses (levels with lots of new recipes go quickly) and vitality. Are there plans to examine the mid-level tradeskill exp curve, to bring it more closely into line with the adventuring exp curve?

Can the lock out timer for the Ward of elements x2 raid please be changed 3 days minimum because the reasoning for a 5 day lockout has been shown to be faulty? The reason for the 5 day lockout has been given as the T3 patterns are all smart loot. however, time has shown us that this is not true and that the 100% smart loot does not work properly for numerous reasons. EG. The cast helm having the circlet added, people looting the pattern but not creating the actual piece of T3 (due to people not wanting to break 5 pieces bonuses up - thank btw for the adjustment to fighter sets, this was an improvement)

As it stands today, all TSO armor set gloves intended for fighters have the same haste bonus across all classes. While this appears at a superficial level to be "balanced," it actually results in a LARGE imbalance of benefits. Monks are already highly overstacked on haste, being able to self-buff well into diminishing returns. A typical monk with adept iii or better spells and otherwise decent gear will see at most 10% actual benefit from the 35-40 haste on set gloves, where every other fighter class will receive close to the "full" benefit since their self-haste is much lower.

Is there any intention to change the Haste on monk set gloves for the various TSO armor sets? If yes, when and how? If not, would you please explain how this results in balanced benefits to the classes?

Hiya all from the Russian EQII community! We've collected a bunch of questions (though many had been left aside to keep the list reasonably short) and hope that some of them will be quite interesting for dev's and others

3rd try (some guys are very eager to get a word from dev's and keep on posting these questions every month)• When can we try on a Fae or an Arasai illusory image? Seems those two were left aside as we have available most of the other race illusions. • What do you think about making the mount-calling equipment (like whistles, drums, scrolls etc.) be placeble at home and making the animals (or carpets) pop up once the unequipped items used inside. I bet some guys will love the idea of designing stables in their GH or making exhibition halls to show off their herds of battle wargs or bears - or maybe even teaching lava rhinos to play piano or to swim in a fish tank.

Containers• Do you plan to increase max number of items in one stack? Would be great to keep more than 5 pieces of the equal items or to be able to stack those that are non-stackable now (totems for example). • Can you add more inventory containers with increased capacity for some specific item types (like those for raw materials) - for quest items, collections, usable buffdebuff potions etc. That'd make it easier to find a necessary item in the inventory and to help high level players with extra space coz they have to carry at least two full sets of armorgear and many other stuff needed for raiding. • Are there any plans to increase the number of arrowsthrowing daggers etc. per stack?

Guild Halls• You've mentioned that we'll see a higher tier Guild Halls in the coming expansion. Can we expect new amenities there? What kind of? • Guild Halls were a very convenient addition to the game but they left all the cities and towns around Norrath deserted. The MMORPG idea of socializing players failed as everyone now's stuck in the GH where he can find whatever's needed for craft, trade and travelling. Does it work as intended or you consider some changes to make the toons spend more time outside of their cells? Maybe just placing menders, bankers and brokers out of the GH's would keep the right balance between overcrowded locations (and much hated lags) and deserted streets and squares. New players get a very wrong impression of the game until they join a guild and it ends up leaving 'em no choice but to join a guild. • For less populated servers the GH hirelings spoil the rare resources trade - noone's willing to go mining ore or gather hides coz it's readily available in the GH Harvesting Supply Depot and as the result, just few pieces of the rare stuff on the market are offered for a sky-rocketing prices. For all servers those guys spoil one of the classic jobs for the toons - farming resources. It's now not needed at all. Those who liked that playstile are now jobless coz they can't sell their common resources harvest. Any planning tweaks? • Is it possible to add portals from GH 1) for any toon to any of other guild member's houses and 2) for a toon to any houses belonging to that player's alts on the same server?

Macros• You've mentioned that players can expect some time in the future more commands per one macro (that question was about changing equip sets). Can you help troubadors and other buffers to save their fingers and cast all 15-something spells with one key strike. That's about two hotbars and a lot of wasted time for "click and wait" after each raid wipe. • Ain't you planning by any chance to add conditional operands to macro?

Spells• Shadowknight's Bloodletter. This effect cannot be cast during combat and has 3 min of recast time triggered upon toon's death. For the raids it's a huge loss of time - once wiped, the Shadowknight makes others wait for 2,5 or even up to 5 minutes (which is a reported bug) before the spell can be used again. Is there a specific reason not to lower the recast time as the spell can't be started during combat or to keep the cool-down period but make it usable in a battle? • Dispell and disarm can debuff the Shadowknight's Bloodletter. Can it be made resistant to those spells? • Mastercrafted versions of alchemist's potions (DOT dispel) have been removed from the game while common versions got increase in their effects. But there still is a lvl 62 "Grandmaster's Freedom of Action" (-97 levels of hostile effects) and its common analogue "Exceptional Freedom of Action" (-72 levels of hostile effects). Is it an intended exception or it'll be fixed. What will be the fix - removal of GM's version, enhancing the common version or what?

PvP• Could you please dot all i's and cross all t's regarding the GU51 fame changes. The question is pretty simple - are there plans to change the fame mechanics (or may be even roll back to pre-GU51 state) or no changes are planned for a certain period of time. • A healer engaged in PvP combat with two or more enemies can heal himself only manually changing target to himself which means a huge loss of DPS and time. For that period of switching targets and self-healing even the auto-attack ain't working while the opponents do not experience such troubles and continue the extermination of the poor healer. Can any mercy be expected and the problem solved in one way or another?

World events• The two new events that recently were on the test server bring in tons of new decorating stuff for player's homes and GHs. That's the good news. But the quests for the Tinkerfest is something that could probably be done better. There are only two tasks to complete and they are way too simple. There's only one collection to gather and the shinies located like books on a shelf - someone needs just to stand in one place for a while and the reward is his. Yeah, events are fluffy fun thing but can you still add some more stuff to make it a bit more interesting? • There were some bits of information from another popular MMORPG game where (as claimed) unexpected event happened in the game world. Players could catch a nasty illness in one of the zones and then it accidently spread out from one player to another causing kind of a world-wide pandemia. The cure was unknown for a while and that was a challenge for the inhabitants how to survive. Does EQ2 allows such kind of things driven by players interaction and do you have any plans to use such mechanics in future events?
