from test update notes:

disabling combat xp will no longer convert combat xp to aaxp.

is this at lvl 80 only? i hope.

because now when we lock at lower lvls to get more aa before we out lvl an area, we will not be getting the aaxp we were trying to get in the first place. and please dont say just leave combat xp on because at lower lvls you will lvl very fast that way also.

also i play on pvp server were lots of aa are a must in order to compete so feel free to flame on now that i said the dreaded pvp word.

When you turn off combat XP at level 80 it was continuing to convert combat XP to AA XP, thereby not really shutting combat XP off.

Yes, it applies to level 80 only, since that's the only time when disabling combat XP would in any way impact your AA XP gain.

There was 1 person asking for a way to stop getting both XP and AA XP at level 80.

There is currently no conversion pre-80.

I can promise you that there is absolutely NO conversion before 80. I definately would have noticed a small gain in AA after soloing blue/white heroics for hours while working on heroic quests.

Who was I to say they are incorrect with what they said they saw, when I haven't yet had a chance to test their claims for myself?

I have seen many bugs in eq2, and many times where Devs have posted "that was not intended" just before nerfs, so I tend to not immediately discount such claims without some sort of testing being done.

That all being said, if there was any such xp gain, I admit that it would be extremely small per mob, and not significant in the overall scheme of things. I think I liked saying "punished" in my previous post, mostly because I was considering rolling a new gnome to suffer some in-game indignities all in the interests of Test experiments...
