No I'm not currently a Zerker, but as a Guardian I consider the Zerker class as our brothers in arms.

Currently I'm considering betraying my level 76 Guardian to Zerker and I wanted to get your take on playing the Zerker class. Please lets keep the discussion civil. I'm not here to start any fights. If I have something wrong, just let me know.

Guardian's have an edge on survivability. But have recently taken hit's to their DPS which can cause issues keeping aggro, especially when a tier 1 DPS class goes overboard. In raids, Great single target MT and good OT.

IMO, Zerkers are 2nd in survivability and they have the added ability to do some impressive DPS, for a fighter. This makes it easier to solo and in single groups. They can also be good MT's and Great OT's in raids.

Currently my guild has a 80 Guardian MT for a lot of the raids. I've MT'd KoS raids for my former guild, but am perfectly fine playing an OT roll. I'm maybe 1/2 mastered and my gear is currently nothing special (Mastercrafted level 72).

I guess what I'm looking for is how you Zerkers see things. I'd like to be able to do more damage, but don't want to totally give away being an occational MT. Is it a good idea for me to betray?

Berserkers can MT everything in the game just fine. 99% of the time it's not the class that determines if they can MT, it's the player.

That said if you aren't geared but your guild's MT Guardian is geared, he should continue to tank until (and if) you equal his level of gear.

the only benefit you would have would be on AE targets, which are only on OTing some few random named encounters.

OT would be easier as a zerk, MT would be easier as a guard.
