<p>when i log out of the game for a few hours my characters are gone when i log back in a few hours later.  why is this happening?  was thinking of returning to eq2</p>

<p>My guess is that you accidentally changed the region select and now you're looking at a different server set.</p><p>You can change the region on the EULA screen of the launchpad.  It is in the upper right hand corner.  For English speaking European servers you would want to select 'English_EU'.  For English speaking American severs you would want to select 'English_US'.  There are options for Japan, Germany, and France as well.</p>
