Okay, besides forgetting to hit attack because I'm so used to sending the pet in I think I'm doing OK I got to level 21 during this past bonus exp weekend. Now I"m stuck..

Question ( and I did look but can't figure it out): What spells .. ummm combat arts do I upgrade to Adept III. I mostly solo.

Oh... and what type of weapons do I look for? I noticed that they have a delay on them. Is that important or the number for the damage. Do I look for one handed stuff or two handed or fist stuff.

Oh.. another thing.. I started putting AA into AGI. That right or should I do something else?

*sighs* and I'm not sure how to set up my hot keys. Like what combat art things should I have set up. I've read all the bruiser 101 posts and *boggles*...

So sorry for asking such basic questions but I've always played finger wagglers and this is all new to me.

Thanks all!

I used MC weapons with a delay of 4 sec. I was fine, maybe try faster ones, so you hit more frequently since at low lvls you don't have any haste.

the delay is the time between each attack. so 2 weapons with the same rating. The fastest will hit more often for less while the slowest will hit less often but for more.

If I understood well, with a longuer delay you can spam more than just one CA between each Auto attack

for AAs, agi is nice to lower recats, then go for crit or DA, your call.

for spells ... upgrade your heal, fd also, the stances are nice but for the CA I can't tell here, don't remeber the names

I would find myself some 2.5-3.0 delay weapons to lvl with, and make sure that both weapons are same delay, that will also increase your dps..

As for AA's, there is a very nice post on Flames about AA progression in the Bruiser section, I would highly reccomend that you read that, since it basicly tells you where to put all your points and in what order..

And welcome as a Bruiser, and just so you know it.. You become addicted to the class, atleast I did

FD.. and stances.. I like the better healing!

Can a person actualy FD 'wrong'? Couldn't figure out what the heck I was doing wrong and had all these goblins on me and I ended up actually dead.

Do I try to use the more powerful things first or save them for 'the kill' ? I've been doing the fist flurry then big kick to kind of lead off. Is a different sequence better?

Is there a good way to search for the delay on the broker or do I just need to know the name of the weapon

No, there is no way to FD wrong, but since it does not have 100 % chance it can fail for you sometimes..

As for broke search, I am not sure someone has made a mod so you can search for delay yet, so it is something where you search for all 1 handed within a certain lvl range, and go through the pages 1 at the time

How to use yout skills, thsi is a very debated area for sure, I tent to sort my skills in recast lenght, and just use the fast ones first, that way they should be up when I have used everything

Personally I like to put my CAs in groups depending on their function - all my taunts are together, all my AoEs, all my debuffs, all my stuns.

I find it makes things better (especially in PvP) to know whether you have a stun handy, or a knockback or whatever. Placing your CAs in order of refresh is (imvho) a waste of time because you don't need any help seeing which CAs are ready, but you can always use help knowing whether a specific type of CA is ready.

Also, using your debuffs and DoT (such as they are) at the beginning usually helps with the parse.

Strictly speaking Eye Gouge won't add to your DPS but it will make your fights easier the earlier you use it.

Your DoT is the Burn Through line, which does heat damage over time.
