Sorry for the stupid questions, but I'm not on test, and to be honest, I don't have the patience to patch it.

Were currently existing copies of ad3 spells changed to the new names? How do the research assistants work? If you can upgrade from apprentice to adept to expert to master, I'm concerned with what this might mean for us sages who make a "living" selling ad3 spells.

You could get answers to all your questions from the dev tracker.

Well, I could, if they were actually there. I just went back through every single post on the dev tracker to the beginning of the year, and still am not finding the answers to my questions.

The spell names are changing. That's all you need to know.

Oh, and nobody is going to waste a Reseach Assistant upgrading an Adept (Ad1) to an Expert (Ad3). They're still gonna contact a tradeskiller. The only thing people will use Research Assistants for is turning Expert (Ad3) spells into Master spells.

Those do not show up at all when I look at the dev tracker. The superior man knows what is right, the inferior man opens his mouth to prove it. What positivity did you bring to the discussion by being harsh and rude to a player looking for help? Calandriaa if you have any questions that go unanswered about it, feel free to message me.

No, all you brought was accusations and negativity. I've been in their position before where I couldn't find an answer after a lot of searching but someone else was able to easily find it. When you're frustrated and searching, sometimes you miss exactly what you're looking for.

People get frustrated on these forums?

Methinks they need a bit of a break...

The sheer amount of posts a single topic can accumulate makes a lot of things confusing to a lot of people. I've seen many peopel who refuse to use these forums for that reason.

Thats where the dev tracker comes in useful.

Neither of the threads you posted showed up. That's why I included a link to the dev tracker so that hopefully you could see what I had. Are you perhaps talking about "search" rather than the dev tracker? There is a difference between the two. Regardless, there was absolutely no call to be rude.

In fact, looking over the specific pages you linked, one has no red-name posts at all, so of course it's not going to show up on the dev tracker, and the second doesn't answer any of my questions. I wasn't asking about what was in my recipes, I was asking about the books I already have on the broker.

I was blunt, not rude. There is a definate difference.

In databases, you store unique data in as few places as possible and then just use a reference to it everywhere else. That way if you need to change it, you only have to change it once and everything is affected.

Hopefully spell names in EQ2 are only stored in 2 or possibly 3 places.

Then you'll see.

Second, I'll give a short answer :- All spell/skills names are changed, in recipe books, in scrolls, in knowledge books, in quests. The changes are well done (I found 5 bugs only on sage recipes after checking them all)

- You go to the assistant and choose the spell you want to upgrade. You can upgrade from journeyman (app IV) to Adept (adept I) or from Expert (adept III) to Master.

- Domino answered in the tradeskill forum and even created a topic just to say that it would change nothing for sages, only the names of recipes.
