Hadn't gone into mistmyr manor and everynight abbey on my bruiser in a month or so, and i couldn't find a single shiny in either zone. Was able to kill the key mobs albeit with a healer. Interesting fight. But is there some trick to making the shinies spawn, or do they not exist? Is there a mob that you have to kill or something?

Was told i needed to kill some regular mobs. Which i did, but still no dice. Do i have to do a mission? Right now I just want to figure out what i need to do, and then i can figure out if i can do it or not. Checked back through several months of update notes, and couldn't find anything to give me a clue. So i'm guessing this was ninja'd in.

Is there something where you have to do things in a particular order, or where if a brawler enters a zone all shinies are turned off? That would suck, since i only have one tank. Do you have to read sacred words from a book? Do all your combat arts in latin?

Couldn't find anything in any of the update notes on this, which would be nice, so i could figure out what's up. No way can i afford to buy the ethernauts collection, and i dont have enough time to run zones with groups and hope that people aren't needing then they should be greeding and hoping i can get what i need.

If not, no shinies for jo!

If the zone gets scaled down below I believe level 78, then yes, the shinies will disappear. For example, a group of 80's with one 74 will I think scale the zone down too low.

no i'm not mentoring down, and all members of the party are zoning at the same time. I think it just has to do with trying to solo the key mob at first until i realized that wasn't gonna happen, and on the second zone, i triggered the 3 names to go non agro before i gave up on trying to find any shinies and found out that you're supposed to kill something before they spawn. Since i had already done stuff before i killed anything, it probably inadvertantly bugged the zone.

Doesn't matter if you have less than 6 people in a zone Aule, you will still have shinies, been into zones with 3 people and had shinies spawn. No idea why you wouldn't have shinies in MM though, been there and had plenty.

So 80/5 = 80. I don't think 1 guy being in a different zone affects it either.

pubear wrote:

No way can i afford to buy the ethernauts collection, and i dont have enough time to run zones with groups and hope that people aren't needing then they should be greeding and hoping i can get what i need.

If you can't invest the time or effort to get it the way you're supposed to, then don't expect to.

They've probably changed them with similar motivation to the key mobs for the shard chests, to stop people soloing rewards from group instances.
