Greetings,

That error means that the patcher was able to download the update but a security feature is blocking the file update. Try these steps first:

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

If the problem persists at that point then move the entire Everquest 2 directory to a different folder. Windows places extra security on everything in the 'Program Files' folder and that could be causing the problem. You can simply cut and paste the Everquest 2 folder anywhere you want since it does not require a registry key. I would advise moving it somewhere like 'C:GamesEverquest 2', but anywhere besides the program files folder should be fine.

So basically, I tried running in administator and having it be compatible with SP2, and that didnt work--Then I tried moving the folder completely and the folder itself would not copy--So now that the client is uncompatible, I can't play at all D:What else can I do?

Could you explain that a little more? Does it give you an error message of some sort? Assuming you don't have the game open when copying, you should be able to drag and drop that folder anywhere you want. If you can not then that indicates a deeper problem with the computer.
