Can't get on to EQ2 without the system crashing. It definitely has something to do with my graphics, but no clue what it is.

I just updated my computer with Vista (first mistake) and now can't get on to EQ2.

When I get to the "Play" screen after all downloads, I find that when I got to Preferences, then Game options, that is get a "Setting tool for Everquest II has stopped working", I also noticed that it never excepts the changes. When I go to Explorer and bring up EQ2settings.exe, it excepts my changes. Then when I log back on to the "Play" screen, go to Preferences, Game Options, I notice that the video setting still have not been changed.

Then as I try to log on, it gets to "Waiting for entities" and crashes at that point every time.

Again, I have Vista and a ATI X1900 Crossfire dual graphics card, which never gave me any trouble running XP.

Greetings,

Some people have experienced a problem with ATI cards running our game with certain options enabled. Please open up your graphics card options in the control panel and try turning off 'Catalyst AI' and 'Adaptive antialiasing'. Then try running the game again with those options disabled. Please let me know if the problem persists after trying that.
