The last time I had to install EQ2 on a machine, the patcher would go from 147 hours to 70 hours to 3 hours and back up to 125 hours. Just keep an eye on it and if it seems stuck, cancel the patch process and start it over. It will continue where it left off.

If you're using the default launch screen, you might have better luck with the Station Launch Pad (or vice versa).

how do i kick off the download through the station launchpad?

and i installed a network monitor and the eq2 launcher fluctuates from 1 - 25kbs... surely it can reach higher speeds and more stable speeds then that.

Greetings,

I understand that you have forwarded the ports, but have you tried bypassing the router entirely? Doing so will tell us whether or not the router is part of the problem.

Besides that, it seems like you have already performed all of the basic connection troubleshooting steps. At this point we'll probably need you to post your tracert/pathping results so that we can take a closer look.

what are you wanting me to tracert?

I am running adsl2 and as such my modem is my router and my router is my modem. "adsl2 model/router". It is a billion 7401 vgp.

edit; Also, if i close the whole patcher does it cancel all my current progress and i have to redownload it all?

I'd like you to try running a tracert to the locations listed in the sticky post, here:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=422516

To answer your other question, you can stop the patcher at any point and continue later. It will pick up from the point where it left off. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
