Hello all. I have taken a break from eq2 for about 2 1/2 years. But now my wife and a friend want to get into it so were starting up. I have all the Xpacks and am good to go just need help deciding a class. We will be doing Qeynos toons, My wife is a swashbuckler, friend is a Fury. I don't know what to play. I still have a 76 pally so I KINDA remember how to play them. I just don't know if I should tank, or be a utility class like a dirge and level the three of us like that and always just look for a tank when we need it. Ideas?

edited.

You probably would be able to pick up a tank anytime you needed one assuming you play on a server with good population during your play times.

That being said, if you WANT to play a tank, you could always roll another paladin, or you could go with guardian or berserker. Guardian and Berserker are both seen as neutral classes, so I think you can roll either of them in Qeynos, but I could be wrong. I haven't checked lately haha.

If you are not completely aposed to playing an evil class and you want to play a tank, I would obviously suggest the Shadowknight as it is very (very) powerful in it's current state. Things in EQ2 have changed a lot in the 2 years you have been gone.

Welcome back!

Pally would be a great addition. They are OP like Sk's, just most people dont realize it

But add a pally to swashy dps, with fury heals/dps, and your good to go.

Oh, yes. Fury, swash, pally is a good, well-rounded group. Pally and swash have great AoE attacks, fury has fast heals, pally can help with backup healing if needed. You should be able to do a lot of content just with the three of you.

Also, if you do want to pick up some folks, you already have the group core in place. You could add anyone at all and still have a good group.
