OOC-First time I ever written, I probably have typo's but, I don't have microsoft word. Criticism is welcomed, and so is praise thank you

Chapter one- New beginings

Kias rested his hand on the hilt of his blade, as the bustling city of Qeynos was unveiled to his eyes for the first time. The cobblestone pathways, and the talk of merchants yelling prices to new adventurers sorounded him, and made his head twirl. As he walked towards one of the merchants the wind picked up, and his long unkept hair flowed in the breeze. The wind died down, and he happily smiled at the merchant.

The mercant smiled back looking puzzle. "Yer not from around here I take it."

"Aye, the blasted ship took long enough to get here although this is a fair city,"

"Indeed it is the fairest around friend, but would you like to shop some of my wares?" Questioned the Merchant.

Kias pondered for a moment before speaking. "Yes, a loaft of freshley baked bread would be nice."

The merchant scuffled around his drawers, and compartments, and pulled out a golden brown loaf of bread. "It is on me my dear traveler, may you find many adventures, and good tidings in Queynos."

The merchant bowed, and Kias returned the bow, but not before slipping a peice of silver under one of the merchants pot. He then left, and headed towards the inn. As he made his way to the inn he could already hear the loud drunken cheers of hero's and adventurer's alike. He opened the door, and the chatter was louder then he expected. He walked down and took a seat at the bar.

"what could I do for ye." asked the barmaid.

Kias smiled at her uncanny beauty, and light accent. "The best brewed ale you got."

I Barmaid brought the ale, and set it down infront of Kias; he then winked at her, and took a big swig.

The lady then turned and smiled at Kias. "I've never seen you here before."

Kias smiled back at her. "Aye, my names Kias, and you my lady?"

"Rosseta Cobbleston, or you could call me the babysitter when these men have a little to much ale in them."

Kias threw his head back and laughed. "Be sure to watch over me tonight then Rosseta."

She nodded her head. "Of course."

Kias turned his head to see his long time friend Alderath. He was surprised to see someone he knew here of all places. Alderath's hair was jet black, and from the angle's of his face you could tell he was a half-elf. They were odd friends, Kias talkative, and loud, but Alderath shy, and quiet. Kias got up from his wooden stool, and grabbed a seat next to his half-elf friend. Alderath's face immediatly opened up to talk, but then smiled.

Kias was the first to speak. "Ah, friend finally a familiar face in this city!"

Alderath grinned. "Yes, Indeed."

"So what brings you here from Kelethin?"

"What brings you here? I surely thought by now the orcs would have your head on a silver plater."

"One would think that, but no orc, or man could kill Kias Stormblade The Orcslayer."

Alderath took a sip of his drink."Aye, except for one of my arrows in the back."

Kias chuckled. "My sword would gut your belly open before that would happen."

Kias took the last swig of his drink, and motioned Rossetta to the table. "A round for me, and my dear friend Alderath my lady."

Rosseta bowed, and happily brought the ice-cold ale to the table. Kias indulged in another hearty swig of the fine tasting ale, and clanked his glass with Alderath in celebration. The friends both smiled at each other, and drank the rest of the brew. Kias belched loudly, as Alderath was hiccuping.

Kias rich voice roared with laughter. "Rossetta I think it's time for you start babysitting."

Alderath Hiccuped. "Ah, he's a [Removed for Content] fool, as for me I'm fine."

Kias smiled as he watched his friends eyes close, and his head hit the table. Kias stood up slowly and hunched him over on his shoulder.

"Rossetta does he have a room here?"

She looked puzzled, and then saw Alderath slung over Kias's shoulder. "Yes, right up the stairs to the left."

Kias trudged up the stairs slowly; the ale starting to hit him now to. Each step seeming to make him concentrate more, and more. As, he got to the top he had to catch his breathe, and Alderath started to murmer something that Kias couldn't understand.

"Oh, shut up ye drunk." He mumbled to himself as he reached the door.

His hands shook, and wobbled as he tryed fitting the key into the apartment's door knob. After, a few try's the key finally unlocked the apartment. Kias wobbled in, and set Alderath on his bed, and Kias collapsed unto the floor, and happily fell into a deep sleep.
