Hi guys (:

I really, really love soloing. However, after upgrading my armor and jewelery to all this new TSO stuff, I'm noticing my DPS is a lot better. This is great for the group I play with for obvious reasons, but my tank pet, Harvey, isn't too happy about it. (; I got the Void Energy set to try and make him feel better, but he's still complaining that my DPS is too high for him. I had to take off my Vampire Bane gear when we were up against some vamps because I kept spiking up and getting aggro. *lol*

I can do perfectly fine if I don't attack and use Perceptor's Command about two or three times, then do some slow DPS. I'm not trying to cry the sky's falling because it's impossible to solo - it is most totally possible. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any gear that gave tank pets some increase to hate gain. I've tried looking but I haven't found anything. ): I have the Shadows 'Summoner's Soothing' and all that, for the record.

Is trying to find a way to get my hands on mastering the "Grisly Protection" minion's stance worth it? The bump to Shout/aggression doesn't look significant to me -- am I just number comprehension handicapped?

Honestly, I would love if the Void Energy jewelery had +pet hate gain. Or some kind of feature where my pet and I can share aggro... That'd be wicked, but I'm sure it'd bug somehow, or something. d:

Thanks for any and all advice.  I really appreciate any insight you all have.  Harvey does, too.  (;

If you look through the other postings on desired changes to necromancers the tank pet hate is one of the listed items. This became an issue with the release of ROK and all the +spell dmg and +crit% items. TSO sort of made a lame attempt at fixing that by adding +dps for pets to summoner gear. But it really didn't help at all. Other than Preceptors there is nothing that increases pet hate gain. So, keep spamming it everytime it recycles and keep one finger on the Feign Death key. The best tool we have is to watch the hate meter. When it goes over 65% don't dps for a bit.

P.S. Another issue is that mobs in ROK and TSO have higher resists. That means the pet's taunts get resisted more often so the pet generates less hate. Your character has +disruption and +subjugation gear to overcome resists and your pet does not.

Yea - I know there are a lot of complaints people have (about every class, really), I just didn't know if anyone knew of some random gear that drops from nowheresville that has +pet hate gain for some random reason... Oh well, I'll just stick to what I'm doing, then. (: Thanks!

Still curious, though, about the usefulness (or lack thereof) of mastering "Grisly Protection" if anyone knows~ Much appreciated~

I think with TSO gear/aa the tank pet is holding much better agro... compared to ROK. For example, pre TSO I could barely take down a trash mob in Chelsith usually getting heal agro alone. Now the side named mobs are no issue at all to solo and trash goes down super easy. I seldom use preceptor's command anymore tbh... and save it for as a rescue.

A couple items I use and still find useful for hate issues are:

aITEM -1523722893 1475557075 -914696490:[The Arm of Mithaniel]/a

aITEM -2104576808 -1738081162 1263675251:[Edict of the Whispered Word]/a

aITEM -854251479 1743437499:[Di'Zok Blissful Obscurity]/a

Anything with 'concussive blast' on it and tribunal cloak (even silence procs) help imo.

Pet buff gear such as powerflux III, Stone defense III help the pet out.

Some people use befuddle (I found it was almost wortheless).

Master pet buffs will help. I scribed my pet buff masters relatively early so dont really recall what it was like before/ after. Depending on what you're soloing use the offensive stance. If there is an undead mob around charm it and have it tank.

If you're using swarm pets, watch out. when they die you can get a sudden shift of agro to yourself.

And if you're just talking about solo mobs in kunark/tso questlines... just pop out he mage pet, tank the mobs yourself and burn.
