Hi everybody,

I have a little dps issue. My main is a coercer so I'm used to casting spells but I rolled a bruiser alt. She's 80 now and I find her dps quite low.

right now my gear is basicly almost only MC jewelery except for one fabled necklace.

My gear is made of 3 combatant pieces and 3 jin pieces (shoulders, legs and gloves)

my weapons are right now 2 2.5 delay weapons (the doomcoil staff and a hammer from the egg quest in veksar), I gave 43 haste and 4 dps. My str is around 850.

40% crit and 30% DA approximately (she just hit 80 this week end so not stuffed yet and no mythical). almost all my CAs and buffs are AD3 and 4 are masters. I have 149 AAs.

STR 4 5 8 6 2/ Agi 4 5 8/ INT 4 5 8

EoF, maxed the KB line

TSO got 32 AAs in it right now, increased accuracy and the fast attack

Right now my dps is around 1k2 in off stance; and I think it's quite low. So I'm wondering how to do it to increase m dps?

I try to time my CAs but on the parse my dps from auto-attack is only about 500 to 700 dps. When I group I land one CA between each ding form ACT (or the new bar in EQ2)

How can I increase my dps, independant from gear, which I'll get little by little? Is my dps too low for my lvl? I guess when I see people doing amazing dps with brawlers :s

thanks for the reply, maybe there's another post I don't know, sorry if there is ...

Illine

we are a very gear-dependant class and from the looks of things you have your work cut out for you in the gear department.

As for timing CAs, the idea behind this is to get the most damage in, without interfering with your autoattacks. Duel wielding 2 2.5sec delay weapons, your generally going to look at your haste to determine how you should procede. I will cast 1 CA inbetween autoattacks only if my haste is high, (Over 80 -ish). If it's less than that you probably want to chain 2 CA's, then begin chaining 2 more as SOON as that autoattack hits. You need to pre-plan which CA's your going to use so you can queue up the next CA while the first one is casting. Pay attention to your haste adjusting with temps like Chime of Blades, which inprove your haste, but only for a little while. You may need to adjust from 2 CAs to 1 CA, and then back again.

I use Autoattack triggers in ACT to play a chime every time I autoattack. Having the sound constantly playing, helps me keep my ryhthym and it's one less window I have to physicaly watch.

Oh and gear - run your epic quest, your gonna eventually want your myth but the fabled epic is still a good dps weapon. Also, you want to stress Strength, and melee crit on alot of your gear. Additionally do not forget about Doubleattack and DPS mod either. I notice you said yoru DPS was only 4? Get adornments! Get DPS mod adornments for both your neck slot and your ranged slot. At least get the T7 version if you wanna save som cash, and maybe your not sure if your gonna keep those items.

CA casting order - This can help too. Generally you want to hit your debuffs first if you can , IE STR line Mit debuff, Possible racial mit debuff, and Master's Strike (If Applicable), then Generaly hit all CA's from fastest recast to longest recast, this way your faster CA's, (Hammer, Front Kick) will be available again fast, usually around halfway through your order. Then you finish your order and they are up again. Also, for high parses, precast lightning fists, Chi, and Knockout and then just SPAM SPAM SPAM everything you got.

Your dps is way low. You can get some t7 adornments with each being like 12 dps, or maybe it's 10, but 2 of those pops you up an extra 20 or more.

Also, I would suggest getting an AA Mirror so you can actually just have a dps build. It helped me out alot. Since auto attacks need STR, I put 8 in the first STR line. Go through your AA's and repec all of them just for damage ONLY. CHI and KO combo a must here. MAx out your Melee Crit. Max out Double Attack from STR.....

You get the idea. You will have low survivability, but your DMG will boom quite a bit. Also, get someone to make you the Elixar of Tactics...it will help a good bit too.

I know it's low that's why I ask .

Even when grouped. Last night I played with a group in deep forge, There was a mythical illu in the group, I did land 1 CA between each auto attack ding from ACT and I want max 2k5 dps in off stance.

What's important for a bruiser?

crit? DA? +CA damage?

what should be my melee dps only?

I grouped with a mythical monk (but not really better gear, he's an alt) and more than 50% of his dps comes from his weapons. Me, it's around 30 - 40%.

I know I have to change my AAs because it's not pure dps based but I have to find the crafter for the mirror, but I don't think changing them will up my dps that much, I'll go from STR 4 5 8 6 2 to STR 4 8 8 2 2.

On the other trees I already maxed the dps points.

but with my gear I'm around 75% avoidance, which isn't bad I guess.

plus it's awfull I burn my mana like hell, At least never had this issue with my coercer

anyway, thanks for the answers, I'll try doing those things
