I heard on the grapevine that the two PvP servers were merging soon and thought I'd come and get some practice in.

The trouble is after 6 months away from the game I'm in serious need of a refresher course. It took me twenty minutes last night to remember how to run and jump at the same bloody time. Anyway, can any of you lads give me a few tips on how to bruise in '09? What's the best gear to get, which AAs are optimum and all that kind of stuff.

Any and all PvE and PvP advice appreciated. No tips are too obvious. I really am that bad.

Welcome Back!

I can't give you too many PvP tips, but i you haven't done much in TSO, all I can say is get those AA's as fast as you can! Bruisers got alot of lovin with the Shadows tree. a 2 charge Stoneskin, a 100% deflection temp, and a nice upgrade to Divide and Conquer, letting it lock the whole encounter, plus 2 rescue-like abilities.

Also the STR line is now fixxed, allowing us to get Chi and pair it up with Knockout for some amazing dps! Dev fist is now a useful raid CA; mine has crit for almost 25K on a raid mob fully debuffed.

All in all the class is fun, still has it's weak spots, but better than last expansion!

Thanks mate. Got meself a few AAs today and I've already respecced into:

STR 4 4 8 8 1

INT 4 4 8 8 1

AGI 4 4 4 5.

Dunno about AGI - but it seemed a toss up between that and WIS/CON. I then took out about half of my Bruiser AAs (just kept the heal, drag and damage bonuses) and put the rest into Shadow stuff. Looking forward to getting that ghetto-Tsunami too...

I"d def max your re-use from AGI. There is no subsitiute for re-use mods, and especially now, with all the cool new defensive temps we can get from the Shadows tree, re-use is more valuable than ever.

The 100% deflection is nice, BUT, let me say this again BUT .... mobs now strikethrough, so even with 100% deflection you can still get hit. The only thing that mobs can't strikethrough is dodge, so our mythical is the only true avoidance.
