Righto just to get a full understanding of this, ill explain how ive been taught to curse cure in x4 raids, so you can understand a bit of my frustration, oh and 99% of the time i play a mage, yeah yeah maybe i should make it 100% but

1 .everyone in the whole raid makes a macro, shouting , raid say and group stating there name , there group and there position within the group, something like "Ono got the CURSE 4-1" so im in group four number one position.

2. cause im a healer i also need to make a separate macro , something like /tell healerchannel "ive just cured %t" then i check my position in the raid and see who is the healer directly below me and add a line to the macro /tell MrShaman ive just healed %t you are next in line to cure" etc.

the healers in the main tank group look after only there group, leaving the other three groups to look after thereselfs, ok the raids just about to start, ive checked my position, altered my marcos, mostly it goes smooth on the pull, mage1 uses his macro "Nukems cursed (2-1) , the healer in group 2 uses his first macro and cures the mage, he then uses his second macro to send a tell etc to the next healer in line, sounds good in theory

a few things can go wrong, the curse has already hit two people and hes probably been cured already by time hes even got the tell, this goes on for a few minutes, a random healer dies, the next one in line has to pick up the slack, he might not of noticed the other healer gone down, but he didn't get a tell anyway, a random mage uses his marco, by mistake, im sure weve all been there

So ill admit im not the most switched on healer, the fastest to cure, top of the parse, but i dont mind helping out on my toon when we get some slack, but seriously am i just missing something big time or is this the way soe expect it to be , and you guys handle it? although slightly more efficient.

so im asking if you could offer me any advise, any tips maybe help others out wondering the same as me, at the moment its a macro spam feast of tells, shouts, confusion, and stress when its wipe out time cause i missed a cure.

regards a random mage
