I am constantly having to relog into eq2 players even if I am using the same IE window, whether I have the remember me option checked or not. Could this be a website issue or is there some setting on my computer that could be affecting it?

Symantec, McCaffe, Trend Micro, Karparsky, BitDefender, and most of the others have this function. Not to mention spybot and adaware, think windows defender has it also

Any other ideas? I recently updated my Internet Explorer to version 8, could this have something to do with it?

It sounds like IE might be blocking the cookie for some reason. Click on the 'Tools' option in the upper right hand corner and select 'Internet Options'. Then go to the 'Privacy' tab and you will see a slider that determines which cookies your computer will download.

If you want to set custom setting for our website then you can go to the 'Security' tab in the same window. Click on the 'Trusted Sites' icon at the top and then the 'Sites' button. You can add our website to the list of trusted sites on that screen and then set a custom privacy level for that site.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

This only started happening recently and only on Sony websites (EQ2 and Vanguard), not on any others. It never remembers me when I first come in, I have to type in my username and password each time, and then after a while, for instance after I've finished reading one thread and click on another, it'll have me logged out again. The guild chat throws me out at random intervals on the basis that I'm not logged in. On EQ2players if I'm looking up a number of things, I'll need to log in again at random intervals. There seems to be no pattern to the time, number of pages loaded, etc.
